Fantasitc performance. This is my favorite P.G. show and I've been hoping he would release it on CD but after many years he still hasn't. I would love to see it again. The 3-D effects went perfectly with the music. My favorite song of his.
I am pretty sure that Glass probably doesn't have much say in whether the visual part of the MOG will be available. If anything, Robert Wilson probably is the one who'd be more in control, tough he, sadly, never felt that the cgi aspects lived uped to his hopes.
Very well done. I havent heard this piece since its premiere tour in 1998. Good consistent composing by Mr. Glass, and an excellent performance by Mr. Barnes. Thanks for posting this gem. -f
Hey Paul, you're a great pianist! I'm a fan of Ph.Glass but didn't know these pieces, so thank you so much for uploading this series. Quite off-topic, I also love the way you take a bow to the audience in the end. Nice and classy.Wish you every success!
Paul, can you upload a video of you playing the Cafe of the orphee suite? that's music is impossible to play without huge hands!!

@proman84 That's too bad he felt that way. I was impressed. I would be happy just to get the music on CD.

Oh, I'm with you. I've only seen stills but I still got a sense of scale. In my mind, projects like this is exactly what Blu-ray was made for.

Upon Listening
Color, sound, the undulating wave of breath
Sentiments lyrical, light and of depth
Silent be the knowing of the night
Tones calling to the darkness and the light.

The instrument sings! Magic performance! Perhaps the instrument is a Bosendorfer Imperial or is it totally the greatness of Paul Barnes.
