Sol deliberatly faultered on contract talks- at the time every big club in Europe wanted him, and he could have gone for £12-£15m which was a fortune to Spurs who were struggling financially. In the end Campbell dragged it out so he could go on a free-- to where? OUR BIGGEST RIVALS- so as you say, after 9 years we deserved better treatment from him. He deserves at the criticism he gets frankly.
