This song is really heart filling to my soul the words really relates to me it shows that by faith mountains can b moved this is what Christ want us to do is to live by faith bcus faith is the substance of things hope for the evidence of things not seen.
Today I speak it, I DECLARE IT MOUNTAINS GET OUT OF MY WAY IN THE NAME OF JESUS!!!! THANK U LORD!!!
Thank you! This is the fellowship I grew up on as a child. At 37, I miss these songs. Thanks for the blast from the past. The lyrics are still relevant!
I have been looking for the song since i first heard it when i was 12 years old i'm 35 and i was in the Bahamas then.this song is on my mind at least once a week thank you so so much may God always bless you and your house hold.i love love this in life that's what you need to say when the devil throw mess your way.Know that God our father can move any mountain all you need is little faith. We are the children of the most high King.
Wow !!! I was 18 when this song came out !!!! My choir at 19th Street Baptist used to sing this song and Send the Pentecost all the time !!! Awesome !!
This is some old "Deacon Gonna Git a Prayer Through" Mother Over in the Corner with Her Shout"gospel! This takes me back to Sunday School and then church with the funeral homes on on the back of the fans(yeah I know you are smiling and saying "how old is LGKids, LOL and peace!
been singing the hook to this song and could NOT figure out 1) who sung it and 2) who the original singer was. Got a lot of mountains in my path 1) foreclosure 2) defaulted student loan 3) losing my oldest son 2 years ago. LOTS of mountains and only mustard seed faith!! THANK GOD FOR this!!!
I remember leading this song with /the Towson University Gospel Choir in the
80's. The power behind this song inspired me through many tough day's and nights.. I had a tape recording of our choir singing ths song at our Anniversary.. I played it just about everyday for years until.. it wore out on me!!..Thankyou for submitting this one ..I havn't heard it in long time!!!
I have been looking and looking for this song. I miss this kind of gospel music. New stuff is good, but songs like this are scripturally sound and have meaning to it!
I'm a former member of Fellowship Baptist Church and was baptised by Rev. Clay Evans. June Brown sang at my wedding in December, 1991 and I thank God for her. She has truly been blessed with a heart and soul to sing God's praises. This album, "What He's Done For Me", has been in my collection for years and I'm glad that now the world will be blessed to hear June Brown.
15 years? I can't remember how old I was when I first heard this song - maybe 13 - but it remains one of my favorite songs of all times, and I'm not even Christian. I ADORE this song! It literally MOVES you. The lyricist is Dr. Margaret Douroux. I want that known because writers don't always get the respect due to them. They are often overlooked.(I know cause I am one) This woman is incredibly gifted!
No, I'm not Christian, but I find the song very inspirational. I come from a family of musicians. In any case, every living man and woman is on some type of spiritual journey from the cradle to the grave. I REALIZE that we cannot continue to place ourselves above others in the name of religion. That's what's wrong with the world today. This song is about overcoming obsticles in one's life through faith. I don't think you have to be Christian to relate.
Oh my God LiftHimHigh....Thank you for this post!! The lovely June Brown!! You all are going to make me hurt sumpin. I love me some June Brown and felecia Colman Evans. These women were rocking the Ship when I first became fimiliar with the broadcast. I lived to hear Mother York say "june Brown with the choir sings For The Rest of My Life". Where is June and Felecia now? T hope all is well and that they are walking in the FOG (favor of God). God bless you real good LiftHimHigh.
Dr. Margaret Douroux wrote this in Honor of Dr. M.L. King, Jr. One of many recorded by Fellowship Choir of her selections. Donald Vails and Fellowship recorded many of her songs along with GMWA
