If you halt illegal immigration and over-immigration (foisted upon us by self-serving business and ethnocentric interests in both parties), you will have fewer people producing less pollution and less resource demand on our land. That's the rubber meeting the road.
And yes, the usage of polluting resources (and others) is a major concern, we need to change that as a nation.

If the problem is that immigrants arrive and begin to act like us in terms of resource consumption (which is to be expected), then the real problem must be: Us!
That it'd be a disaster if the whole world lived like us should be a wake up call to reevaluate our priorities, not blame it on poor people. To the environment, national borders are meaningless (unless talking about "Free Trade Zones" where enviro laws are nonexistent so we can get our cheap crap here while the toxic waste stays there).

Well, not really sad to break it to you people, this video is wrong in every sense of an environmentally conscious scientific argument. Not that, of course, you're concerned much with the environment, the consumption of energy, the draining of aquifers, or anything vaguely relevant to carbon footprints; as is obvious with the segue to the population growth argument - last I checked, procreation of humans is not limited to illegal immigrants. I'd go further, but tube only gives me so many words.

Don't be dumb. This is 2008. It's valid to point out that immigrants take on the consumption patterns of Americans and Americans are huge contributers to global warming. Having more Americans is not good for world ecology. The environmental impact of Americans in the next decades is less a question of population growth (formidable of a challenge as it is) so much as the choice questions concerning city infrastructure, renewable energy, and the growth of job markets that don't leave people, immigrant or not, in the margins.
Your special interest money would be better spent on things other than ads.

We have added 100 million to the U.S. population is 30 years, largely through extreme immigration. We can't keep growing at this rate forever. Can you imagine how much lower your children's quality of life will be if we don't lower immigration levels and we have a half a billion people in the U.S. by the end of the century as the census is predicting?
