  • I would delete this. 240p just don't get it any more and it will not help sell your software.

  • Wow! 'What you can do with Vue 6' IN GLORIOUS 240p!!!!!! Are you shitting me?

  • I bet 2 or 3 years until this is realtime gameplay. It'll be soon!

  • why doesnt the countdown go to 0!!! WHY! WHY!!!

  • the dislike bar is as big as justin biebers penis

  • 240p ):

  • I need help in these areas please can some one refer me to a website of give me a link of a tutorial thanks

    - Material on terrain (turns out like crap for me)

    - When I import a model and render it its not very good

    - Animation

  • What's the name of the music at the end? It's awesome :D

  • take a look on my renders ;-)

  • a+++++++++++

  • how does the animations work with Vue 6?

  • looking for more help ima try and see if i can make a game wit my vue 6

  • you cant :)

  • why wont make games with it?

  • Current Hardware can't support Graphics like this in Real Time.

  • @xSpringfieldx that is not true,.. it is the current Software that ist smart enough to enable the Hardware to calculate this in real time, oh well with the new Incremental ray comming for 3ds Max 2010 it will be possible thanks to Mental images and Nvidia, up untill now people have been using CPUs to render VFX, but with CUDA and over 500 cores on a single GPU the power is more than there the only issue is how do we harnes this power to be used in Games and 3d applications ;)

  • @xSpringfieldx In real time, yes they can. Not at this undiluted level, but people are becoming increasingly elaborate at coming up with creative ways to render things more efficiently using less powerful processors. Look at what id software just created for the iPhone. I remember years ago when people said 3D graphics in the first place would not exist for centuries. It's not about how powerful the hardware is becoming, its how efficient the engines are becoming.

  • @JJBerthume How are you gonna remember something "someone" said years ago about something that's been around longer than you have? You're 15. You weren't even born when the original Toy Story was released. You remember a comment that predates your existence and talk about it like you were around when it was mentioned. Quit talking out of your ass.

  • vue is very good for big scenes, it can take much more than a ordinary 3d program.

pirates of the caribean 2 dead mans chest was made using vue

  • where I can download it?

  • where can i download trial version...thanks

  • .... very long ...

  • That look really nice and interesting..... how hard is the program to learn?

  • apparently its really easy (couple of clicks) im downloading the trial now but what i have seen is it takes long to render.

  • what is the song name?

  • kinda random but if anyone knows whats the song name????

  • Yeah. Its not like everyone can pick up this program and do things like this. First of all, this videowas made using the best version of vue6 and the guy who did this was a expert with it.

  • yes but that why you our suppose to practice. and it just might take a few years to get this good.

  • not really ... vue6 is avery simple program ... its more like a map editor where everything you use is pre-made .. and you only stitch some obj together

  • yea your right. it took me a while to use 3d studio max. so I fiquired when I started to use few a couple of days ago it would take the same amount of time. but vue is very simple.

  • mhm .. its bad that its pretty limited to landscapes ..

  • Nah, you could say so yes but if someone wants to do a scene they should have software taylormade for making scenes. You can do whatever scape you want in Vue, not just earthy looking. You can do space, out of this world scenes as well.

It's not a modeler, not meant to be really, more of a place to put models, give them realistic lighting, texture, and an evironment that fits it.

  • Lol, the thing is it's not. Vue6 is great for any sort of modeling, easily matching other programs like 3d studio max, c4d etc.

I do admit the main idea of Vue6 Infinity revolves around environments, not only landscapes though. Could be something as limited as a bathroom or like a space-scene.

    And that's just Infinity.

There's a reason why Vue is one of the leading CGI programs in movie-producing today.

  • you dont learn this in one night no... not even in a week, but once you get the hang of it, the hardest part is outa the way, still its a pretty amazing piece of software and a must-have for terrain generation thingy thingys...

  • "thingy thingys"

Ah nice to see the technical terms being used :D

Also i accidently marked you as spam while trying to reply...sorry. :P

  • lol "thingy thingys". it really is a common term nowadays.

  • As someone who uses vue, I can vouch for how easy this program is to use.

within an hour of first starting up the program, I had made a spiffy photo realistic picture of a big jungle. And my computer is just a crappy dell, with on board everything, that's not meant for anything more than perhaps photoshop and after effects.

Of course the shots in this were given a lot more detail, but stuff can be done in a very little time.

But I was cranking expert looking stuff out in just a months time.

  • Seconding this. Even the dell part lol!

an example of my work is on my profile somthing like F18 flight. That was in my first week of using the software.

  • this software is incredible but the ONLY GUY IN THE WORLD who was able to render something like this was the guy who did this reel.

  • just takes lots of practice

  • not really.

    I meant flicker-free renders.

  • Incredible!! I'm so jealous.
