I just heard about this band yesterday whilst doing dishes. It reminded me of Cock Sparrer and Beat Happening (don't know if anyone's heard em). I was impressed. Now here I am rocking out to some cool music. It's fun for the whole family. "Mikey likes it!"
Well, they've a somewhat unique style. You have to listen quite hard to notice how avant-garde they are. If you don't, they sound like pop, which bores people who think they've taste.
On the other hand, they're too complex for people who just listen music for fun.
They're caught between to stools. You could also say their chair's missing ;)
@WorldOpener hmm reading some of the replies to this comment only confirms what you say, its a shame others can see it that way. some music simply needs more attention than just listening to a song for 'fun' as you say. i understand you, but perhaps some ignorant people wont..
