what you have is a partial theory at 1:22. first you must formulate a theory explaining why studying helps pass a test. then, "blake not studying" is part of your initial conditions for the theory explaining why blake failed, "bns" is assumed. from the theory it follows that blake will do worse than he would have otherwise done if he studied. "blake failed" then is empirical data which is explained in the conclusion stage.
+1 trillion, this is exactly what I am trying to explain to the kids at my school, but they just don't believe me. At my school, the science teachers teach that theories DO become laws, and that laws are more useful than theories, and that a theory is just a guess.
