  • great camera-work - nice editing - hillariuos content ...

  • are u refering to the music ?

regarding the music this is kind of true, but that's not relied on the the orchestra's fault or the conductor, this was a live event and the audio capture was so bad that we decided to underly another version of ameriques of another orchestra , I know u shouldn't do that but ... as it destroyed the synchornicity between music and visuals as well but the record on our tape was terrible

  • Ok .I Understand . Live it was sure a great event .

  • Sorry , but I think it´s not fast enough .

    I miss the intensity ...

  • go and watch MTV there you find some faster stuff

  • The other versions of this piece I ´ve seen on youtube were all a bit faster . In my opinion ,

the faster tempo is better for ameriques ...

  • The tempo indication that Varese specified is "Grandioso/ quarter note = 60". That is exactly what we get here. This is the correct tempo.

  • Starting at 48 or 49 seconds into this video, that is. BTW, the first 48 seconds do not immediately precede the rest of the music on the video. There is some missing material. Also, this is the revised version of the score. The original rarely gets played. There is (was?) a video promo here from Ingo Metzmacher that has a few bits of rehearsal of the original. I believe that that version called for a slightly faster tempo regarding the section in question. The only recording is by Chailly.

  • OK , then you are right :-)
