well they don't really make fun of God. More so they point out things within society such as the view of God that the church has bought a monopoly over with oppression. Pretty much the Christians don't own God they never have and it bothers them that they can't even live up to the standards they try to guilt and scare everyone into. Like this song says "You tell me what you saw and I'll tell you what you missed" so follow rules that don't exist.
