my dreads are HORAIBLE!!! this is helping me so much i have SO many fuzzy's ive only had them like a week or so i did them myself so ima hot mess thank you for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO MUCH!!!!!!!!! <33333
First I wanna say... Nice music in the beginning *Who is it by?* ... Secondly, Thank you sooooo much for telling us how to get rid of the frizzy hairs around our locs, your video was a big help!!
PrettiBoiShai I just want to say "that you have helped me so much with all your videos". I just love your style! Continue to do you and thanks so much!
Whats going on shai. tha name is jermaine From Brooklyn NY. I was checking your videos out. i see you got some real hip hop on your page. Hip hop today ain't was it is today. i did my first video last month. but i need some help with the edit and slideshow. i used the natural elegance lock up shead butter i dont used the ORS lock and twist or The Beewaxs. Im getting into the process now i just purchase the tea tree oil for my scalp and that stuffs works. if you have any comments just hit me up
i am getting my dreads re done again and im wondering wether i should get them done with the chroteae needle techniuqe or the standad back comb and palm rolling any suggestions?
@juggalo640 have u consulted a loctician?...i think u should get their opinion on what method would work best for u...since they are the professionals lol.
Whats Up PBS? Yeah this videos is exactly what i was talking about the last time we spoke. Great video and that seems to really be the best way to do it because as we know just using the locking wax/gel may work for some but the crochet needle method works for all. U digg? Stay Up PBS! Peace.
Hey Shai i have been watching all of your videos i find them very helpful. I recently got my hair 2 strand twisted I have really curly hair everyone i knows say i have "good" hair. LOL, im wondering what can i do to keep my ends from unwraveling. If u can help me i would really appreciate it.
Thank you so much! I have soft hair and was very upset by the misshapen frizzy dreads I'm starting to grow. I was going to a shop but they didn't seem to think it was a problem, so I'm now doing it myself and it looks pretty good, but I couldn't figure out how to fix the frizz...but now thanks to you, I can! You're the best!
Good video luv, very insightful! If possible, can you post a video about fixing bumps in the loc itself or direct me to a video that will teach me how to fix it. Those are AN-NOOOYING and I don't know how to fix it! It would be greatly appreciated. Thanx!
you know what, I'm Armenian (only half at that!) and my hairline is like that, has all these lil frizzy baby hairs and they wont grow out to thicker hair and its driving me crazy. I'm thinking i might just get them buzzed off .. what do you guys think?
@soraninja well if your hair line is fuzzy then just retwist it lol. but this tutorial is more so for those people who have loose and frizzy hairs coming out the loc itself.
nice way to get the frizzies. the only thing im worried about ( & the reason i've only latched once ) is the crookedness of your locs after. maybe crookedness isnt the word, lol. but the loc gets thinner then thicker if your were to slide your hand from root to tip.
how do you keep that from happening, or does it not matter to you?
I just rated! I thank you for the video, and I just did it 5 mins ago. I was afraid of messing up my dread but I finally got the courage to do it! The dread end came out good!!! Thank You Again!!
I really like your solution. I am in my 5th month now and my dreads are very frizzy and i know thats normal now. But I always thought that after a period when youre hair is lockt the frizz stops. Perhaps a stupid question but dont you get little holes in your locs when you do that?
well...the only way you will get holes is if your crochet needle is too big for the loc & u like force it in...or...u didnt use the crochet needle properly i would assume that may happen.
damn i needed that i have fine hair too andd thats what i asked on my first video and they told me come 2 u i just dont know how to do that lol..... hit me belizeandreadhead. i need help.
Cool video! I did the wrap hairs around method all the time with the old set until they matured, but never thought about crocheting the loose ends into the loc.
wow...thank you do much for commenting on my video...you are like an inspiration to me lol. but yeah i did that too...but it was like because my hair was so soft it wouldnt stay....so i just crocheted the extra loose hair.
what i mean is, after u retwist, should the base of the loc be smaller than the top of the loc? or should the whole loc be the same size before and after the retwist
OMG. I went and got those same pack of crochet needles at walmarts. Now, I know how to use them for my locks. I feel you made this video specially for me. thank you.
big ups to you prettibo on that tutorial even if my locs r not there yet and I have a long way 2 go, i no i will look back to this vid 4 help. thanks!!!

I have a ?, when u retwist ur hair should ur roots be smaller in diameter than the rest of the loc?
dcnot420 2 years ago
i dont quite understand your question...what do you mean?
PrettiBoiShai 2 years ago
what i mean is, after u retwist, should the base of the loc be smaller than the top of the loc? or should the whole loc be the same size before and after the retwist
dcnot420 2 years ago
when you retwist...you are just twisting the new growth to make it neat. retwisting is tightening the new growth.
