I was going to a shop but they didn't seem to think it was a problem, so I'm now doing it myself and it looks pretty good, but I couldn't figure out how to fix the frizz...but now thanks to you, I can! nice way to get the frizzies. the only thing im worried about ( & the reason i've only latched once ) is the crookedness of your locs after. maybe crookedness isnt the word, lol. but the loc gets thinner then thicker if your were to slide your hand from root to tip.

how do you keep that from happening, or does it not matter to you?

I really like your solution. I am in my 5th month now and my dreads are very frizzy and i know thats normal now. But I always thought that after a period when youre hair is lockt the frizz stops. Perhaps a stupid question but dont you get little holes in your locs when you do that?

well...the only way you will get holes is if your crochet needle is too big for the loc & u like force it in...or...u didnt use the crochet needle properly i would assume that may happen.

when you retwist...you are just twisting the new growth to make it neat. retwisting is tightening the new growth.
