Bunch of corporate idiots...If there was a reissue of the original XL or XQ basses, I wolud certainly see how to get the cash to get one...I wasn´t smart enough to grab at least an XQ when Musicyo had them in stock. That is something I will regret for the rest of my life....as long as they don´t reissue them.
This guitarist at 1:20 always reminds me of Austin Pendleton, the actor who portrayed the stuttering public defender in "My Cousin Vinny"...he looks alike!!! "B...B...Buuuut..." LOL
i'd never even heard of headless guitars, let alone steinberger, until i saw a live video of cynic. i was wowed by masvidal's tone and ever since i've been hellbent on getting my hands on one... no luck so far though :(
i'am using steinberger myself more than 10 years and recently i got ZT3 custom this is one of the great and unique sounding guitar that i came across.
I played headless guitars since 1980 and they re my favorites. Once I had three honners, and sold two, a decision I regret since i lost the only one I kept. I can't afford to buy one now, but I'd get rid of my les paul and rickenbaker if I could and get one.
I think the ideas behind these guitars are certainly ingenious, but personally I love the ineffeciency of traditional guitars. Its all of that "unneccessary" stuff like solid wood, fixed bridges that don't carve large holes into the body and obsolete tube driven amps that make guitars sound great and fun to play.
Isn't great how the big guns think they know what players want? They are so out of tuch with players. Thank God for companies like Carvin and Steinberger.
@VSNROCKS Then Gibson bought Steinberger and, according to some people, ruined it. (I don't have one, so I won't judge wether or not those claims are true)

there was a Steinberger demo here that showed a guy making it sound like a pedal steel guitar-changing the pitch accordingly
