I don't know much about this truck, but I'm willing to bet its an old surplus jet engine from a Korean war or Vietnam era fighter. Maybe an F-80 or an F-4 Phantom. If it is, then they probably don't run the thing at near max power. The kind of thrust an engine like that generates could rip up even a semi.
