What's good brotha I have a question for ya??? I got a production setup and I'm having a issue with recording melodies into my mpc from my mo6. Any advice on how to fix the issue
sweeet vid ... i gotta question for you . how do you get to the next midi channel on the microkorg .. or are you recording it as an audio track in this vid ??ive laid down a bassline . now i want to lay down a synth .. please help
hmm via midi, i have a mpc1000, and im expert on midi giberish, i dnt know how to call it. but im preatty preatty preatty sure midi refers just to commands you can give to 1 machine using other machine, nothing to do with functions. if it cant do it midi wont make it do it. but can it?
how were u able to loop the microkorg into the mpc? is it possible? i have an old mpc 1000, and had no idea it had a function like that. but it would be aswome. or did u used an aditional software for the looping part?
@returninginsurgent yeah i have the same question! do you recorded the first synth and played the second or do you save midi notes, whats the setting?
MPC2500 or anything like it is a bit serious. If you just want to put some beats down and learn the tech then go for the 1000. That plus a muolti-timbral synth and you should be able to put together complete tracks. It wont have the polish of a pro studio recording but you'll get a long way there.
I'm trying to start making some beats...I'm willing to drop the money on this type of equipment, but i'm wondering if it will be just too advanced for a beginner. Should I just buy a lesser version of the MPC with a similar synth? Is that a good way to start? Does anyone that is reading this know?
@ARJ620 I suggest buying native instruments maschine, you can do almost everything you could on an mpc! its for begginers to advanced users. and in terms of synth, why not consider a midi controller keyboard instead and hook it up to software, your sound options will be infinite. Peace!
yo how do you set up the mikrokorg so it can midi up multiple sounds ... I have it setup to my mpc, but it only allows one sound to play no matter what midi channel i put it on. Thanks bro
your going to have trouble recording live into the mpc1000...the 2500 allows you to stack live recordings that you play live into the 2500, while on the 1000 you can't have your sequence playing while you record into it
I dont like it pitched up either it would go sooo hard with big's original powerful vocals on it the pitch up was a huge fuk up. but overall the joint was hot but the pitch up pisses me off just alittle wich explains my long ass comment
hi, please if it is possible, could you publich how you have connected microkorg to akai 2500? Officially the multitimbre mode is possible only with 2 sounds at maximum (MIDI)... In this video you recording more sounds from Microkorg to akai... Thanks a lot !
I just got a MicroKorg and I can't layer multiple sounds over my drums, when I switch to another sound on the Korg it switches what I recorded also... how is this guy layering different sounds from the keyboard over what he previously recorded? Im ready about it not being multitimberal but this guy obviously got around it... the micro cant be so useless only one sound can be recorded can it? if so Im taking this shit back
i'm pretty sure the mpc's come withg a basic sound set. but yeah, that's the whole idea. you can make you're own samples too, you don't have to buy/use other peoples
this is hard af!

chuyreal 7 months ago
@chuyreal technically, MIDI is all numbered based. The "commands" you speak of are a sequence of numbers from one machine to another/computer.

@chuyreal you can do that via midi and it's probably the function why mpc's are so loved! they're also sequencers as well!

This track sounds Fly...
The pitched up vocal makes the regular vocal sound even heavier (it's called juxtaposition).
Nothing wrong in mixing things up to get new character & flavour out of your samples!!
