Dale Carnegie closes the first chapter of his book "How To Win Friends And Influence People" with that line, attributing it to Samuel Johnson. Matthew 7: 1 says Judge not lest ye be judged. I have found that life is too unclear to judge the actions of others; my time is better spent trying to understand my own motives so I'll be better prepared for my own Day of Judgement before the only One who really matters.
Actually if you read the full context of chapter 7 of Matthew, it says do not judge unless you be judge...but first take the plank out of your own eye and then tell your brother that he has a speck of dust in his eye. The meaning then is to first evaluate oneself and see if there resides any sin unrepentant to the Lord and then after having done that tell your brother that what he is doing is wrong. The text is not saying don't judge at all, but to be wise when you do.
@basicaa ??? What are you talking about?? God's judgement ends the life of men! Read the Bible! There are several examples of where God's judgement ended the life of people and where God authorized certain people to judge. If I understood you wrong, please explain...

God... does not propose to judge a man until his life is over. Why should you and I.
