  • I was stationed alont the DMZ in Korea when I first heard this song. I cried many nights wondering why life had to be so painful. I was missing my then-new wife back home. Everytime I hear this song, I think about those days, more than 30 years ago.

  • Can' t you just feel this song and when he starts to wail at 6:43 you can feel it all in your bones, now that's soul music.

  • romantic I miss a woman

  • My Kansas City homeboys !

  • You won't hear this classic from 1982 on any Urban AC station-because the programmers just don't get it- it's a great 'deep track' that they all should be playing. Whenever I would play this song on the radio in the late 90's-some 16 years after it's release-the phones would light up. Listeners thought it was something new. Albeit 'We Go Along Way Back" was the hit form this album-to me this is the pure gem on this lp

  • I get tired of all the beautiful music from Singers of the 70's being called "old school" there's nothing "OLD" about it when new generations discover it and love it ! From now on I DEMAND THAT OUR MUSIC FROM THE SINGERS OF THE 60's and 70's henceforth be referred to as "CLASSIC SCHOOL" because it will never be "old" / it will forever withstand the test of time

  • True classic, reminds me of my military days, slow dancing under the strobe lights, when people behaved in clubs; men asked ladies to dance, bought them drinks and we did not expect to go home with them after the club..Collecting numbers and actually using payphones to call and make dates...Some of my most committed relationships were in the days when you only had the payphones, home phones without the answering machines/caller ID, not all these PDA's where you still cant reach someone live...
