Not really, its more for decoration and the hilt should be made of chromed aluminium just like the obi wan fx. And answering your question 7 hours ago, if you watch SW: A new hope, you notice that anakin's old lightsaber (which ultimately becomes luke's), is slightly more pale than in, for example, Revenge of the sith. I hope this helps you.

The anakin skywalker force fx is slightly smaller, but only slightly, probably a 5mm size difference in the hilt between the anakin and luke. Which makes the anakin more easy to wield.

Haha, too bad :P Well, the Obi-Wan is a better saber overall. Brighter and more sturdy blad and clearer sounds.

But the Anakin hilt is more accurate to the movie-replica. I think you should go for the Obi-wan. Especially if it's your first saber :)

the obiwan-1 FX is made of plastic, its pretty cheap. really easy 2 crack

kosta224- the obiwan fx does not have plastic parts on it. Except for the little black circle bit near the bottom, which, with competent use, should not break. I should know this, I own own myself.

Haha :P As cooltown (also know as Sherminator) says, I filmed it in there because the lighting was perfect in there. And if you liked this video, I can do a similar one with with my Vader ESB, and it should be a little longer :)
