How do you keep your plants so healthy? no sign of algae at all on the leaves. I keep the water very clean, nitrate under 10ppm. water change 20% daily. But can't get rid of fuzzy algae. Advice?
do the algae easters stress your Discus out, I had to get rid of mine as they kept feeding from the Discus clime coat causing the Discus to be nervouse
I'm thinking of making a amazon looking tank, whit black gravel, some wood,floating plants, and a nice amazon backround, and i dont know if i should get a black piranha, or discus and then breed'em but the only problem is that i dont know anything about discus, just that i love the way they move, how they breed,eat and ofc their colouration and the shape of their body could u plz give me any info?
yo what plants do you have in there. how many? whats the temp? whats the ph? whats the hardness? what chemicals do you use to maintain the ph? what other chemicals do you use? what other fishes do u have? how many? are there any plecos? how many and what types? im going to have a discus tank and what to have one thats this nice..... by the way beautiful tank
@milessissling hey the groundcover plant is dwarf baby tears. It roots and you don't have to vacuum the substrate. You just have to vacuum over it or just the water

Use Algone filter bag. That stuff brings ur nitrates down so low

Thanks! You can just gravel clean the dead debris. If there isn't any, just a 30% water change every week.
