B/c some of the test trains run b/w 57th Street-7th Avenue and Gravesend-86th Street! and the some test trains run b/w Astoria-Ditmars Blvd to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue!
lol all the ppl are like YAY! a new train and im the first to ride it!!! then the doors open and close on the other side and it pulls away...NOOOO!!!!!
That's EXACTLY what happened on that day. Like 5 mins after I stopped recording, a guy was like what the fuck, the conductor didn't open the doors right and he didnt pick up passengers, then some people were explaining to him that it was a test train
well sorry people but what he said is true.Kawasaki makes long train brakes but they stop the train perfectly. last time when i was riding a Kawasaki R62 subway car when it stops it makes loud noise. but for the bombardier ones its not that loud
well i also found other things.the clickty-clack noise is louder but i think thats what makes go faster.and it can be the T/O fault.i hear this every time when i ride and R160
So this is initial testing. Cool! Wow I bet there were probably ppl on ur side of the platform shocked that the doors opened the wrong side. BTW, what if they do this in revenue operation? (As in, how did they override the safety.)
if they did this in revenue operation, they'd be in big trouble. i remember one time, i was outside murrow high school and the Manhattan-bound Q train overshot the station, the first two doors opened out of the platform
Again, this video is superb.

@7TrainExpress - Nope, this is a Siemens, as it says Siemens on the title!

Wow! The decelerating sound is a mixture of Alstom Metropolis C751A and Siemens C651!

57th St. is also a real terminal for some rush hour (N) trains. (some (N) trains terminate at the station during rush hours)
mtattrain 1 year ago
@mtattrain N trains do not terminal @ Midtown 57th Street-7th Avenue during rush hours!
JamaicaQnzFreak 1 year ago
I'm just listening to wikipedia.

@mtattrain stop listening to Wikipedia they can edit the infomation on there!

how can u tell the difference between the siemens and the alstom when your outside the train
umaga41599 2 years ago 2
Main difference is the sound and car numbers.
Caitsith810 2 years ago
i thought the alstom and the siemens had to do something with the finds..
umaga41599 2 years ago
@Caitsith810 yes, beacause the 8000 cars are Siemens R160B.
the 9000 cars are ALSTOM R160A.
Weegee010 1 year ago
@Caitsith810 what camera did you use for the video quality is great
junjun798 1 year ago
u can tell because R160A alstom onix and R160B onix have stepped sounds while the R160B siemens has a smooth rolling sound
greenflame305 2 years ago
i identify trains thru sounds of motors, somehow the siemens motor on thr R160B's sounds like trains from Japan
ShinHolyAyato 2 years ago
because the R160B was made in Japan!
umaga41599 2 years ago
but the plant was in Yonkers, NY, however the 160's are my favourite NYC cars

You just gotta love that acceleration
But whoa! He went fast through that curve! A lot of R160's do that on this curve

what the fuck happen there :o for me he didnt pass the test :D if he learn driving a train but great video quality 5*
predatortheme 3 years ago 2
They were only testing a brand new set that was delivered at that time. Opening the doors on the opposite side is standard procedure.
Caitsith810 3 years ago
@Caitsith810 yes, because the MTA doesn't want passengers to mistakenly enter a test train.

sorry to ask but, what camera do you have?

Sony Cybershot 5.1 MP Camera
