  • Again, this video is superb.

  • Very nice shot... And that sound is one of a kind

  • Yeah Man

  • Lego shut the fuck up at least our subway system has more history then yours in Russia!!!!

  • american stations are ugly .All stations are the same(not in russia).

  • I love the sound it makes

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • was that R160B Alstom? i think so. loud ones are alstoms.

  • @7TrainExpress - Nope, this is a Siemens, as it says Siemens on the title!

  • Wow! The decelerating sound is a mixture of Alstom Metropolis C751A and Siemens C651!

  • OMG it was there for you ,OMG great catch

  • I think this train has door chime problems like I found on an R142 (2) train.

  • I actually ride this very set almost every day from canal to ditmars

  • Wait! Why did this test train go to 57th St?

  • B/c some of the test trains run b/w 57th Street-7th Avenue and Gravesend-86th Street! and the some test trains run b/w Astoria-Ditmars Blvd to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue!

  • 57th St. is also a real terminal for some rush hour (N) trains. (some (N) trains terminate at the station during rush hours)

  • @mtattrain N trains do not terminal @ Midtown 57th Street-7th Avenue during rush hours!

  • I'm just listening to wikipedia.

  • @mtattrain stop listening to Wikipedia they can edit the infomation on there!

  • Plus, I was referring to SOME (N) trains, not all.

  • @mtattrain not some N trains terminate @ Midtown 57th Street-7th Avenue expection of them testing the Siemens and Alstoms train back then!

  • @JamaicaQnzFreak i HAVE AN n TRAIN TIMETABLE. It says on one of the trips 57 street-last stop

  • the people waiting at that station must have been pissed off

  • Comment removed

  • its a test train why do you think there's papers on the windows maybe it said testing Kawasaki testing train

  • It's a test train, not loading passenger train.

  • This is an awesome video! The sounds are perfect!

lol im looking back at my other comments and my old DanTheMan702 account

  • how can u tell the difference between the siemens and the alstom when your outside the train

  • Main difference is the sound and car numbers.

  • i thought the alstom and the siemens had to do something with the finds..

  • @Caitsith810 yes, beacause the 8000 cars are Siemens R160B.

the 9000 cars are ALSTOM R160A.

  • @Caitsith810 what camera did you use for the video quality is great

  • u can tell because R160A alstom onix and R160B onix have stepped sounds while the R160B siemens has a smooth rolling sound

  • i identify trains thru sounds of motors, somehow the siemens motor on thr R160B's sounds like trains from Japan

  • because the R160B was made in Japan!

  • but the plant was in Yonkers, NY, however the 160's are my favourite NYC cars

  • wow this is 57th street the next stop is.. 14th lmao thats the funniest part of the video.. nice job man..

  • That's some acceleration!

  • *R160B Siemens Set 8893-8902 enters Canal Street*

    *Comes to a stop*

    *Doors Open*

"This is a 57th Street, 7th Avenue Bound N Express train; the next stop is: 14th Street Union Square!"

*Slam* "Stand Clear of the closing doors please!"

    *Doors close*

R160B Siemens 8893-8902 accelerates out of Canal Street.

This video is great, the echo of the station and the sound is amazing! Great video!

  • I... really... like... this... video.. alot....

  • What was that slam on 0:24?

  • The cab window closing the T/O had to punch for Q.

  • You just gotta love that acceleration

But whoa! He went fast through that curve! A lot of R160's do that on this curve

  • i saw the side of this train and it said N train and the n trains last stop isnt 57 st

  • ya, the test train stops to 57th.

  • i really love this video... like a lot. This probably my 70-80th time (no exxageration here) in the last four or five months.

  • i mean this is probably my 70-80th time watching it

  • Thats fucking scary

  • lol

  • You have a very high quality camera. Good sound system.

  • It sounded alike like trains in Singapore (only C651 Siemens class). Maybe because they are the same "brand". :P

  • perfect sound

  • what the fuck happen there :o for me he didnt pass the test :D if he learn driving a train but great video quality 5*

  • They were only testing a brand new set that was delivered at that time. Opening the doors on the opposite side is standard procedure.

  • @Caitsith810 yes, because the MTA doesn't want passengers to mistakenly enter a test train.

  • sorry to ask but, what camera do you have?

  • Sony Cybershot 5.1 MP Camera

    Model DSC-W5

  • well thats really weird,my camera is 6.0 megapixels, yet the quality is not as good as this video!

  • you got a good camera.

  • why is it terminating at 7th & 57th?

  • Cause it was just a test run, from 57th street in manhattan to 86th street in brooklyn

  • lol all the ppl are like YAY! a new train and im the first to ride it!!! then the doors open and close on the other side and it pulls away...NOOOO!!!!!

  • That's EXACTLY what happened on that day. Like 5 mins after I stopped recording, a guy was like what the fuck, the conductor didn't open the doors right and he didnt pick up passengers, then some people were explaining to him that it was a test train

  • Nice, the quality for this video seems much better than the bus videos you got :(

  • Nice sound.Where is it?

  • canal street!

  • the brakes are always loud? do you now why?

  • Its japanese, thats why.

  • well sorry people but what he said is true.Kawasaki makes long train brakes but they stop the train perfectly. last time when i was riding a Kawasaki R62 subway car when it stops it makes loud noise. but for the bombardier ones its not that loud

  • mm, not sure why. Usually from what i think, its the T/Os fault for not stopping properly

  • whats T/O?

  • Train Operator

  • well i also found other things.the clickty-clack noise is louder but i think thats what makes go faster.and it can be the T/O fault.i hear this every time when i ride and R160

  • Great video dude! Awesome!

  • Thanks man!

  • Let me be more clear, thanks for the good video!

  • lol Well you are welcome !

  • comon dude it was 2007.HI-TECH baby!

  • lol. i like how they open the opposite side door r0fl

  • They have too. If they don't, people will board the train, lol.

  • That set is NOW in service! Saw it yesterday!

  • wow they're quick

  • They are

  • I bet you'll be happy to know that this train is now in service. I saw it yesterday, along with 3 other siemens sets.

  • i'd rather catch the testing sets. Catching them in revenue service is like catching every other R160 N train :(

  • its wierd that it opened the doors not at the station.but i can understand that

  • y does da N say to Midtown-57 St-7Av?

  • it was only a test train. The test train ran from 57th street in manhattan to 86th street in brooklyn

  • Nice catch!!! You are so damn lucky to get that!

  • Nice catch dude!

  • why did he blow the horn.

  • To alert those that the train is not in service.

  • So this is initial testing. Cool! Wow I bet there were probably ppl on ur side of the platform shocked that the doors opened the wrong side. BTW, what if they do this in revenue operation? (As in, how did they override the safety.)

  • if they did this in revenue operation, they'd be in big trouble. i remember one time, i was outside murrow high school and the Manhattan-bound Q train overshot the station, the first two doors opened out of the platform

  • The number on the car......is it 8902.

  • yes sir it is

  • wow 190 cars now,,,,,,,,,just 70 more go. who isn't their any R160's on the Q Line right now??

  • (Q) Should be getting the rest of the cars when the (N) is 100% R160.

  • ya and you know the first option order cars are coming by between February and May you know.
