Thank you! I sometimes just glue it on, but other times I sew a patch of hair together, down the middle. If you see the sides as A and B, you'd then put Top A and B together, then Bottom A and B together, so the thread doesn't show. This gives you a natural looking part in the hair. Then it is glued to the head. :-) I believe I got that technique from Antoinette Cely's website.
Wow - you are pretty talented and I thought these were amazing. My two favorites were the choir and the bunny.... I would like to see a video of you making these - I think that's a great idea.
That's so sweet! Thank you! The choir was one of my very first sculpts! Bunbun came later, but he is one of my favorites too! I do have a video coming. I just finished a pig for someone, and will post the video ASAP!
Pretty neat! So that's what polyclay does. The only problem is all I got to see was 2:59 and it didn't load the rest. Is this a problem with youtube or maybe my connection? And thanks for subscribing, stay in there!
Hey there! Thanks so much for subscribing! I'm so pleased that you liked what you got to see! I have watched a video here and there that wouldn't load, so maybe just try again another time! *smile*
I definitely enjoyed them! You get the body proportions so right - and the expressions on the faces are absolutely fabulous! Faces are REALLY hard to do .... I know, as I am learning to do them in clay these days. Keep making and showing us this stuff! And maybe film yourself making stuff so we can learn too?
I really appreciate your comments! Thank you! I have been thinking about recording myself while working on some things, so that may be something you'll see in the future! And I agree, faces are really hard. I'm not really good at them yet, but I've been lucky a few times! LOL Please let me know if you get a cam and start putting videos up!
WOW... did you do the editing yourself? Because even without the awsome editing (mixing nice music with those images), your artwork will still stand out looking all precious and priceless. But adding them all together, Gosh.. Shannon, you've got great potential being an awsome YouTuber! You will have many viewers to come! When you reach a thousand subscribers, don't forget those who believed in you from the very start;)
Awwwww!!!! You're gonna make me cry!! That was so sweeeeet!!! Yes, I did it all by my lonesome! Thank you so much for your confidence in my ability! I will always remember you and Mellomel!!!! My two main Menfolk!!! *****Kisssss*****
I 'm not sure if the last comment went through...but I just wanted to say that i can't believe the feeling I get from watching this vid. The combinatuion of this wonderful song...together with the beauty of these orignal figurines...it truely is a world that I hope more tubers take thge time to stop by and notice! I really hope and wish they could.
Thank you so much sweetie!!! I'm really so pleased that you enjoyed it! It just means a lot to me. P.S. I went and bought that new camera this morning! (My birthday present to me! LOL) Woot!!!!
I just loved this vid. It was set so well with this song....BTW loved this song as well. I think I know why both FWz and I were drawn to you from the very start Shannon...Caus you are an ARTIST! You made all these creations from hand and heart...Sheesh! I knew there was something to ya...but couldn't put my finger on it! well, there is the reason right there! Just wait till FWz finds out!

Good stuff, I'd say your weakest on arms, work on sculpting arms. Get an arm model to pose or something. but good stuff generally, I like the spirit.
