I think trial lawyers are a lot worse than corporations. Trial lawyers do not create opportunities like jobs and stuff like that. I know some employers take advantage of their workers. There have been a few times that the company I work for has done me wrong. But, that same company puts food on my table and allows me to have a decent life. To make a long story short corporations create jobs and trial lawyers do not. They just ride on the coat-tails of employers to fund their fat cat life-styles
These powerful lobbyists are spending millions to change WV laws and abuse West Virginia citizens. Many laws have already been pushed and passed by these powerful lobbyists and right now in WV citizens are being forced to settle claims at the advantage of powerful corps. No doubt about it. Gramps
Lawyers don't make millions without clients and juries friend. Also, frivolous suits that are thrown out don't make the news now do they? Pharma companies and insurance companies don't like being held liable. That is what there are groups like CALA. Not because of homeowners afraid someone will fall on their steps and sue them.
You never explain just how you would cut back on the rights of citizens to redress. Just who will decide which cases are meritorious anyway? The Chamber of Commer? Or maybe the insurance lobby? Or how about Don Blankenship?
