I would have felt bad for the coyote if one didnt attack my dog the other night. I let my Jack Russell out and didnt see the coyote. My dog saw it and took off after it and it ran at first. Then it stopped and started fighting with my dog. Good thing my .270 was behind the porch door. Missed the first time then nailed it the second time. I was about a 35lb coyote. Not a bad size. Anyway, my dog had to get 7 "staples" and a shot, but she was fine. Three days later I shot at 2 more and killed 1.
