I enjoy you're grace, and I hope to see some other movie of you, freediving some wreck. It's an beautiful movie. you've got a good physical condition , and it seems to be easy to dive without oxygene tanx. So I repeat myself, it's a real pleasure to watching you. I gonna shearch some videos from you.
First of all i'd love to know what song the soundtrack to the video is :)
Second: I really like that video. Very well shot, beautifull, even some humour in there with you swimming past the divers with the big doubletanks at the end :) Thank you for this upload
This is a beautiful sport and just must feel amazing!!:) I really wish i could do this.I love the video! How do you hold your breath for so long? Once a again beautiful i really wish i could have that feeling of being in your own world and just relaxing and so free.:)
you just need to practice:) taking a freediving class from PFI would help you get started, but remember to always practice safe and with someone else.:)
@Deadmau5man If you have an Android phone, download Apnea Tables by Mylix Software and practice breath-hold with that. I'm sure there'll be something similar for iPhone if you've got that, but I can't name a good app.
DON'T practice in water AT ALL unless you have someone who knows what they are doing with you. If you black out face down in water and there's nobody right next to you to help you will die. It's that simple.
Then, as you've been told, course, buddy and have at it. :)
@Deadmau5man I have a degree in physiology and I always poo-pooed these ideas and techniques free divers use and say "regular people" can use too. But in Honduras I was trying to free dive. I wasn't good at it. I went into eat and there was a dive magazine describing free diving techniques...mostly on how to "pack". I went back out and tried this "packing". By the time I was done inhaling air I HAD to get underwater my lungs were so full. I dove easily to 72 feet then. Anyone can do it!!
Boy wish there were some wrecks like that around where I live. Closest one is too deep and a challenging dive with gear on. Just have to go elsewhere! Great video. Curious what fins she's using at the end there, looking for new ones. Thanks!
@joakimhawaii It's the Port Hunter wreck in nantucket sound. I haven't done the dive down there, but from what I've heard from someone who has is the currents make it a challenge. That's with scuba gear, I could not possibly free dive that haha! Maybe in a little while though.
@joakimhawaii WOW and it's pretty cheap as well. Thanks :)
Wish I knew about that mask before I bought my Batman goggles, looks like they're less volume with greater view angles. Jealous, that'll be my next mask. Thanks again.

I'm going to make it one of my life goals to be able to do this. I'm only 16 do you have any tips to get me into this kind of stuff?
ethanhwrd 4 days ago
@ethanhwrd first off, take a class, it is dangerous to practice by yourself.
do lots of aerobic exercise, as well as yoga and you are well on your start:)

ah, that is called packing... where you force extra air into your lungs, dangerous if you dont have proper training.

@joakimhawaii ohh thx for replying, by the way, are you a free diver? Do you know which kind of yoga class should i take?

Which mask are you wearing @ 0:05 ?
I currently use the Cressi Minima and at first the batman jokes were funny but now I'm starting to get annoyed.
