I dropped my iPhone 3Gs three times and the touch screen still works thankfully. My contract expires in three months so I'm just going to wait until then to replace the handset.
man,im waiting on the parts to redo my phone, got the pre assembled glass and desensetizer, new lcd screen and housing, watched lots of film on it,seems idiot proof..even bought the right tools.. wont do wht you did man, lmao.tht moment u relized u fucked up mustve blown ass! lets hope i dont do the same
haha...ya, this video of myself still makes me laugh. I enjoy reading the comments you people have posted because there's some who appreciate the sincerity of my attempt and others who are just haters, but it's all good.
I now have an iPhone 4 with a pretty thick case on it - I learned my lesson!
Maaan, at least you should've watched a tutorial before doing that!.
I did, and I have a cracked lcd screen, but the glass is ok! :D
What's worse is that the iphone was fully charged, so I can't turn it off, because the screen and home button don't work. And now it's just sitting there and every 5 minutes it starts vibrating and ringing like someone is calling me but the sim card is not inside the phone, and I can't see anything on the screen.

-You couldn't tell when it was on that you cracked the LCD by seeing that there were random discolored or black spots?
-"If you're debating whether trying to fix this under warranty or getting it replaced under warranty or do it yourself, this is a lot cheaper." Pretty much saying "FUCK YOUR WARRANTY AND VOID IT BY RAMMING SCREW DRIVERS AND SPATCHALAS [spatulas] INTO THE SUCKER!"
You can replace it yourself if your not completely incompetent... You posted this on youtube, its called watch a video and see hows its done before you try to pull the chrome off with the screen... Use a suction cup, a small window one after you pull out the sim tray, and take out the screws, detach the cables 1, 2, and 3 in that order... and replace it, not that difficult...
Man, I repaired iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, Now I own iPhone 3Gs and I am so hoping not to drop it :) By the way, 3G replacement is so easy compared to 2G it took me 30 minutes to replaced 3G and about 4 hours to replace 2G
Why all the mean comments video? The only two lesson from this video is ALWAYS have the right tools for the job and do more research. Some of the videos posted on youtube do make it look as easy as tying your shoes, but they leave off the important details. If you would have had the suction tool, you wouldn't have even had to pry the screen from the case.
You did make a funny video, and I appreciate you being able to laugh at yourself.
Stop trolling him Faggots, He was prying from the right place. The screen is supposed to be Screwed off the metal racket he was prying at first later, except it was smashed so it just fell off. And i think he ripped the cables coneecting the LCD+Touch screen area to the MOBO. He didn't fail, If you're gonna troll, at least troll like a pro and post "Nigger" or something.
Wow ur a retard, I am 13 and know that you pry it from the screen not the silver part, and there is a little pry tool that costs like a dollar. Atleast now I know that Americans are smarter than Canadians.
I am laughing my ass off at your comment....cheers to you for being a smrt kid....but seriously there is a nicer way to say what you said :) funny shit though :)
thats wad u get for not doing enough research. if u did, u would have known exactly which part to pry open. its not because u have no skills, u have no brains actually -.-
Ya, it is Rogers, and ya, they were great to come through for me - although it took three levels of customer service before I found someone who would help me out! But I definitely recommend Rogers - they have good service and great perk incentives for long term customers.
you learn by your mistakes but dude theres plenty of you tube vidz showing how to do it proper you well knackery it by taking it off at the bezel
