I am a fellow Chelsea supporter. They need to be consistent, if Suarez has had a 8 match ban with little evidence, Terry should be given a 12 match ban. But I think Suarez should have had a 4 match ban and Terry should have got a 6 match ban.

of course (going back to point 1), if JT is found guilty by the court, the FA can then mete out the same punishment as what was given to Suarez on top of whatever punishment the court gives JT..
lastly, it seems you're entitled to your opinion as long as it's in line with what everybody else thinks! pretty silly to see how emotional people are getting over this video. people need to get out and see more of the world.

Anto,just a couple of points.
1)FA can't hand down punishment (yet) because the matter is still with the police; they have to wait for police/court to finish with the case first.
2)punishment given to Suarez isn't necessarily what will happen to JT because Suarez case WAS handled by FA and not police. Evra reported to the FA, didn't make a complaint to police (hence Suarez not charged by cozzers).
JT's case is going to magistrate's court where he faces a MAXIMUM fine of £2'500.

The thing is, saying something discriminative does not make you a racist. But it must be punished. John Terry is not a racist person, but what he said to Anton Ferdinand is absolutely unacceptable and should be punished.

I don't understand how after all John Terry has done wrong that he could be captain for not only one of the biggest clubs in the world but for his country as well! Usually captains of teams regardless of sports are indicated as those with leadership skills as well as talent. A black guy claims racism and everyone takes his word for it because they're too scared of being accused of taking the white man's side and being racist themselves. I am a fellow Chelsea supporter. They need to be consistent, if Suarez has had a 8 match ban with little evidence, Terry should be given a 12 match ban. But I think Suarez should have had a 4 match ban and Terry should have got a 6 match ban.
