  • die-thylene. LOL try Di - Ethyl - ene. stupid high school dropout news reporter bitch. They failed to mention how the FDA is paid by the tobacco companies, and how they found diethylene in 1 of 15 CHINESE cartidges. (who the fuck uses cartridges?). They also failed to mention that gum and patch fail 9/10 after 6 months. E-cig doesn't.

If you buy an e-cig at the mall you're an idiot. If you buy an e-cig that looks like a cigarette, you're an idiot.

    Ego, T-rex, KGO...

    pick one, get one.ur welcome

  • Every brand uses either Propylene Glycol or Vegetable Glycerin now. In the correct grade, these aren't particularly harmful. They use PG in fog machines and inhalers. Certain grades are approved by the FDA for these purposes. Basically the only worry is unknown flavoring additives. Frankly, I'll cut my risks with them over traditional tobacco any day.

  • Smoke weed :) doesn't cause cancer! and has never killed anyone!

  • IM 15 and ive smoked but i wouldnt mind switching something safer like they said kids are gana smoke so they realy should sell whats safer you know

  • @shadyboy969 you kno u kno squeezes cheeks ur so cute u even say u kno in ur comments :)))

  • my lungs started crackling after about 3 weeks of 3 16Mg tips a day! the glycerine coats your lungs! your lungs then passes it thru to the blood stream an turns it into plaque! watch in a few more years when people start dropping off like fly's! look up wat glycerine is an where an how its made, you wont want to smoke these E-cigs anymore

  • @edv1777 Sorry kid, that isn't the way plaques happen. Fats don't cause plaques. They small, compact sort of cholesterols (well actually they're proteins, but people call them cholesterols) do. This type is caused by carbohydrates, not fats. And for plaques to even build up, you have to have some sort of damage and oxidation to let these things into the cell walls (no they don't build up inside the vessels). Scientific fact. You were probably hacking out old tar.

  • Crosby career is done.

  • the "analogue" cigarette is about to become extinct and the tobacco industries are gonna try EVERYTHING to try and stop this, the only problem is THEY DON'T HAVE A LEG TO STAND ON!!!!! wake up people, after the initial outlay it works out cheaper than real cigs and you can "vape" them ANYWHERE! it's funny really the smoking ban is what made these popular today i guess the establishment shot themselves in the foot with that one, so long tobacco tax cheque! goodbye cigarettes!

  • 1:17 if you can´t set off your smoke-alarm by blowing this vapor direct into it there are 3 possibilities why.

1.: its a heat-operating FIRE-sensor which is mostly used in kitchens.

2.: your smoke-alarm is defect or has empty batteries. smoke-alarms work with an infrared-lightbarrier that sets off a relaiy if the light beam is interrupted by a vapor. ANY vapor that is dense enough.

3.: you have a freaking expensive, air anlysing whatever :D

but e-cigs seem to rock...think i´ll get me one

  • Also, if you do get palpitations; just swap to a medium strength for a few minutes.

Nicotine is known to have this effect as it is a typical stimulant.

  • While ecigs aren't perfect, they're nowhere near as bad as cigarettes.

Any long term vaper will tell you that too much nicotine in a short amount of time can give you heart palpitations and increased blood pressure, this is true for cigarettes too.

Though, easily preventable by not overindulging on high strength liquids at high voltages.

Solution: "Don't use anything over 24mg nicotine liquid and if you do, use it sparingly for the quick stealth vape scenario and not in excess"

    Cancer free!

  • I <3 This!

I love how they tried to use the old Diethelene Glycol myth.

    Nobody vapes Diethelene glycol.

It's all propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin now.

    Love the ending.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Woah is this Robin from How i met your mother in the news? she finally made it :)

  • Smoked 2 newports through the video.

  • lol its commn sense 2 against 4000 chemicals and its cheaper too what a load of fuck stupid government

  • The FDA approved aspartame for fucks sake. They're not entirely reliable when other interests collide.... Big Tobacco, for example.

  • blbci

  • From what I understand, the FDA allows [real] cigarette manufacturers to use diethylene glycol as a humectant long as it's less than 2%. Are e-cigs safer than [real] cigarettes? I'm not going to answer that because, if you are reading this, it is probable that you have a brain, so... [How dumb do you have to be to even consider the possibility that e-cigs are more dangerous than an actual cigarette?] Do your research... QUICK, before your brains turn to jello and slip out your nose.

  • Thought about a japanese battery.

Will this vapor be radioactive then?

  • Journalists are idiots! More times than not their research (especially in this case) is haphazard and lacking. Diethylene glycol is not used to make water vapor in any brands of eCigs. The FDA found Diethylene glycol in trace amounts (levels not harmful to people) in two brand of eliquid from China. Propylene glycol is what is used in most cases... Sometimes vegetable oil.

  • They're pretty much all made with propyline now, the nonsketchy, cheap, ones anyway.

  • You know this whole "flavor" thing, even with alcoholic drinks like twisted tea are being used as an excuse to ban them. All these control freaks seem to think that adults don't like sweet flavor and that only kids like blueberry or iced tea, nothing can be further from the truth. Nobody every accuses the yogurt companies of targeting teens with blueberry, raspberry, multi-berry or chocolate yogurt! News flash, adults like fruity and sweet taste too

  • I was skeptical that it would set off the alarm, but it really did. I'm shocked.

  • @Sonofamitch69 yeah I know, i'm following this program on this bodybuilding site to get back in shape. It's intense, been using the e-cig for about a month now and I feel that i'm getting back to shape. Definitely worth it

  • fucknuts

  • I love how they say Diethlyne glycol is the ingredient responsible for the vapor...if there was that much dithylene glycol in ejuice a lot of ppl would be dead...propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine are the ingredients that produce the vapor. the fda found trace amounts of dithylene glycol in ONE cartridge from ONE supplier from china and when I say trace amount I'm talking parts per million here. not enough to be harmful in any way. do some research b4 u talk about shit u don't know about

  • just putting it out there she is wrong bout not setting off fire alarms i tried and did set off the alarm in my house

  • Nicotine......just like caffine IS addictive....BUT also harmless.

Cancer is caused by the thousands of chemicals being LIT ON FIRE, and inhaled...lol

I mean serioulsy? Our media has ZERO investigative skills these days.

AND, this was the best "news report" on E cigs I have seen yet.

The rest?...all scare tactics, misinformation, and just outright lies

  • LOL love the ending of your video. :P

  • Its a joke that people are "concerned" about the health risks assosciated with this. Considering all the health risks that regular cigarettes have, these can't be any worse.

  • fuck the FDA

  • Screw Crosby :)

  • Excuse Me for my poor choice of words .. But the FDA can kiss the shady side of my balls.. I am trying to quit myself and know that i probably wont be able to quit cold turkey.. I have the patch and will use it as soon as i run out of the Cigs i have left sortof a smoke down and a final fare well to actual cigz. But i'm also looking for other means to help in the quiting process and E=cigz look like a better alternative. Wish me luck. Thats my 2 cents.. TY..

  • @akhippy64 Very good choice of words! Good luck by the way. I`m also giving up and have an electric cigerette that I want to change only for the reason it seems to be faulty but when it worked it was a big, big help :0

  • @akhippy64 Congratulations! E-cigs are great. Go with the 510T, but with the manual batteries. Some research and you will know what I am talking about. Only "bad" thing I can say is really the e-juice, the potency is pretty high compared to reg cigs (I looked it up so nobody troll me) Its higher and helps it an easier switch, AS LONG as you dont go back....if you do, you will be smoking more, atleast I did

Anyways, best of luck on the switch

O..and FDA will be over on Tue for your request :)

  • The Cigs come in Differant Flavours!!I know many Who Smoke It ,,and dont Smoke Regular Cigs now!!,Because there Addicted to the Nicotine!!

  • Ecigs do not contain Diethylene Glycol. This is simply not true.

All ecigs contain Vegetable Glycerin and Flavorings (like those used in candy).

Optional ingredients are: Propylene Glycol and /or nicotine. That’s it, there is nothing else.

All are approved for human consumption. None are toxic or carcinogenic.

There are thousands of people and manufactures producing ejuice. The FDA found one isolated case where an ejuice contained an Diethylene Glycol.

  • @moe3ist Actually, you have that a little backwards. Most brands contain Propylene Glycol, however, the optional is Vegetable Glycerin. I'm also an e-cig user and can without a doubt state that these are by far a safer alternative. Doctors will also tell you that it's not the nicotine which causes disease, but rather, the 4,000 chemicals you'll find in a traditional tobacco product.

The test they performed also was not a clean test, and was skewed. They still won't release the factual findings.

  • @moe3ist and in such small amounts (parts per million) that it couldn't conceivably have any effect on you

  • I'm reminded of Reefer Madness.

  • @sgrigson LOL...o that is soooo true...so true

    Seems history always repeats itself

FUCK....we're all stuck in a movie....and the movie is Groundhog Day

    facepalm

  • Propaganda. E-Cigs are safe, its just the government makes so much damn money from taxing REAL cigs..theres a reason why the FDA hasn't approved them, they attempted banning them, etc. It's because the government can't tax it..Cigs have 4,000 dangerous chemicals in them. E-Cigs have 1-2 questionable chemicals. People are tired of smokers, so they bitch at us. E-Cigs come out, people bitch about that.

  • I totally set off my smoke alarm blowing vapor at it. I honestly thought it wouldn't work. Myth busted. Still, I'm way happier with my e-cig than those cancer sticks the FDA wants me to buy for extreme amounts of tax money. If you know about e-cigs and still smoke the old kind, you're a sucker. Also, If you think your local news is a good source of information, again, sucker.

  • @mercury1321 plausible more id say there are many types of smoke alarms but yeah she was bsing a bit when she said that

  • @mercury1321 if you get to much steam around some smoke detectors, they will go off.

I had one went off every time i took a shower. Got a different model, it does not go off.

  • @timkunk Yeah I know. I've set mine off with the shower too (same one that I set off with my e-cig) I guess not all "smoke detectors" only detect smoke. Maybe mine should be called a "something in the air detector." Who knows which kind the woman in this video was referring to, or if she was just guessing. Either way, I was unpleasantly surprised.

Love my e-cig though. I've been using it for 2 years now.

  • @mercury1321 I set off my smoke alarm when I get out of the shower. Its not just smoke that cause false alarms but water vapors as well.

  • @Ae75RHENiUM Did you see the comment posted right before yours?

  • LOL! "The FDA is concerned about the safety of these products..."

What a crock of bullshit. The FDA is pissed that none of the drug companies have a patent on it.

  • Comment removed

  • it makes me laugh when they say e cigs can contain cancer casuin chemicals. have they forgotten whats in cigarettes ?

  • As someone who uses an e-cigarette, I can feel my lungs getting healthier and have much more energy. The e-cigarettes are 30% the cost of regular cigarettes and as you smoke them your cravings decrease. Tobacco cigarette are putting SOMETHING in the smokes to increase craving and amount smoked. That something is missing in e-cigarettes as in a typical day I used to smoke 1 pack of cigarettes but only use the e-cigarette about 10 times. It is good for 300-500 uses.

  • even if its not what the fda says is "harmful," its dumb.

Since every other day there is a recall on an "fda" approved drug, I might just go ahead and believe them when they actually fess up to something not being good for you. I'm just sayn.

They ALL have some sort of fda approved level of poison in them. Truthfully its just up to the individual to "pick your poison."

  • 2:21 Wow it's so obvious she wants to call it bad when it is SO obvious that there is absolutely nothing dangerous about it. Propaganda.

  • I just recently bought an e cigarette, I wanna be able to play basketball for a long duration not panting every time i run once or twice around the court. Anyone know how soon I can start to feel good?

  • @kdagbulos you'll notice a difference within a couple of weeks. Doesn't mean you don't have to do cardio to build your lung capacity back up though! xP

  • There are nicotine free ones available too, they forget to say that huh?... can't believe they make it sound like e-cigs could be harmfull....

  • okay, everything they say is correct, but they skew the info: diethylene glycol (DEP) was 1% of the additives IN the propolyne glycol IN THE CASE OF ONE FOREIGN PRODUCT THAT WAS TESTED! to give you a good comparison, you would get more DEP from a smoker breathing on you than you would from smoking e-cigs for a lifetime. and fyi, propolyne glycol is the stuff they use in fog machines... firefighters breathe in copious amounts of it for training BECAUSE ITS SAFE

  • eGO has saved me at LEAST $2000.00 to date

  • @TheToasteeee ego ftw

  • using the word smoking when refering to an e-cig is decieving, there is no smoke. It is water vapor therefore the proper term is vaping. Now that we have that stigma out the way nobody is saying E-cigs are healthy but i've smoked cigarettes for 8 yrs and i havnt picked up another cigarette since i tried Logic E-cig.I wake up feeling better, i dont feel sluggish and my throat isn't sore after chain smoking over a weekend out.For the record tobacco companies are scared of these products, Tech-Win!

  • FUCK FDA as if they were interested in our health. FUCK the world. corporate greed above all is not the answer..

  • The companies that have the market saturated with stop smoking aids and some huge companies like Pzier..are behind the attacks on E Cig usage. I smoked for 35 years. I stopped smoking on October 1 2011. After reading about the E Cigs I knew E Cigs would allow me to get off the smoke and ash merry go round, At the ready I have a charged E Cig if I want to vape. My next E Cig order I am going to buy a lower Nicotine level. For me E Cigs have been a blessing.

  • Do these people realise that this device is just a delivery system, The E-liquid is the agent... You couldput a bronchiodialtor in it and deliver asthma medicine with it...etc it is not harmful unless the agent is harmful... a big Duh.....

  • @badfriday007 Exactly, my friend! I use an E-liquid with USP ingredients and the hygroscopic agent is Propylene Glycol. An Albuterol inhaler contains the same thing. This delivery system is harmless, even without comparison, but especially when juxtaposed with the tar, ash, carbon monoxide, cyanide, etc, etc, of combusting tobacco. Nicotine has some risks on its own, but it accounts for a fleetingly small portion of the harm caused by inhaling combusted tobacco.

  • wtf i LMFAO wen thay say the e smoke's might luer kid's in to want tham well what the hell is the diff thay are way better than tham geting into the real one's wtf lol

  • You know whats funny, Diethylene Glycol and Propylene Glycol are the same thing. Two names same chemical, just the FDA being crafty and mentally retarded.

  • @hvfox You really need to go to school and learn something, their two completely different chemicals. Diethylene Glycol will kill you, Propylene Glycol is used in inhalers and other medicine and foods.

  • @TheBardicDruid The FDA tested 18 different e-cigarette brands, mostly from other countries such as China (which is known for dishing up poison), and Diethylene Glycol was found in only one of them. The reputable producers of e-cigarettes do not include it in their products.

  • @benfaust No kidding dufus, I've been vaping for over two years, I've done a ton of research. You need a reading comprehension class, DIETHYLENE GLYCOL & PROPYLENE GLYCOL ARE NOT THE SAME. Do you even understand what you said in your first post?????

  • @TheBardicDruid This IS my first post on this video, and the first time I've had any contact with you. And you think I'm the one who needs a reading comprehension class. Maybe you need a class on social skills. Telling people they need to "go to school and learn something" or they are a "dufus" are things grade school kids from troubled homes would say. The FDA said Diethylene Glycol was found in e-cigarettes, and I was simply pointing out their flaw. Seems like you would appreciate that.

  • @benfaust Well your doing good kid, answering a reply to someone else.

  • First of all its propylene glycol and vegetable glycol dumbasses! Fuck the FDA been smoke free for 9 months now and by the way it is a lot safer i can run breath even fuck more than i used to lol

  • Love the ending! Keep on vaping.

  • I made some hash oil and smoked it in mine!!! Got high as a muthafuka ! Badabing badaboom!!

  • @rostine1980 How did you do that?

  • @rostine1980 look it up there is a bunch of vids on it...i did mine with the beutane method

  • hahahaha i loved the end so funny

  • E cigarettes are hands down 100% more safer than real cigarettes...

I used to hack up so much tar but now I can run, breath, etc.

No tar/carcinogens/smoke... Just water vapour and nicotine...

  • @Polaf3456 Mine doesnt even contain nicotine :)

  • @Polaf3456 cool cool man i cant wait to get my first ecigarette this coming week . im thinking about Joye 501 ....what do u recommend ?

  • @Freedom2Morocco 501's are nice, but they use up liquid very fast.

It's not a bad starter ecig, but definitely abit outdated.

I would recommend a janty stick, also known as joye stick (if you're always at the pc) for a beginner Ecig.

Or a janty/joye ego, if you go for this one make sure to get one with a 1000mAh usb battery.

  • @Freedom2Morocco I have a zerocig... Id say its a pretty great one.

  • I read somewhere that butter wasn't good for you-- So I decided to eat Oestra and and Margarine.. whoops, 10 years later we found out that is worse? This just seems like a way bad idea.. Just have 1 real cigarette a day if you NEED to have one,. ecigs are just going to make people think they can puff away all day on them with no bad effects or repercussions

  • this doesn't help you quit smoking. this gets you hooked on even more.

  • @FreeLessonsOnGuitar I haven't had a real cigarette in over two years, so your statement is completely uninformed and quite ignorant.

  • @TheBardicDruid you're still addicted to nicotine tho. you are still spending money on your addiction. also. you are sucking on an electrical device. the long term harmful effects are unknown. but keep smoking it. you might just help us to realize what those long term effects are.

  • @FreeLessonsOnGuitar Well according to my doctor I'm doing better now than I have been in years. I've dropped my nicotine intake dramatically and can go a lot longer without vapeing than I ever could with cigs. So keep your head firmly stuffed up your ass, there's a bunch of us who did the research and learned something.

  • So is it legal to sell these things to kids because they aren't tobacco? I don't understand. There is still nicotine in them that can get them hooked on a drug. They should not be legal for kids. AT ALL!

  • @SacredSocietyAP They are classed as a tobacco product and are indeed illegal to sell to minors.

  • @TheBardicDruid Good..Thanks..I hate when I see kids smoke.

  • Comment removed

  • you scared the shit out of me at the end

  • @w1shEX

Perhaps- if fair means believing ANYTHING & EVERYTHING the FDA (or the liberal media) says, & refraining from doing your own research and using the common sense God gave you. It seems to me that a FAIR report would include the fact that the ingredients from China (where most of the vaping liquid comes from that the FDA is "testing") have not and will never be as pure and safe as the products made in the U.S. Propylene Glycol & vegetable glycerin, for example, are KNOWN to be 100% safe!

  • diethelyne glycol isn't even very commonly in most liquids....

  • GOD DAMNIT!

    It's vapor not smoke bitch!

sorry I just hate the news in general, good story though

  • wow bigest bullshit ever i love e cigs a recomend them to anyone who is trying to to quit or a safer alternitive im using the ego t by joy e and love it

  • i dont know whether to give the news station a thumbs down because of how they say its risky, or to give YOU a thumbs up for being a baller and vaping at the end. just got an ego-t the other day :D its much nicer then the 510

  • nice ending. Looks like you got one of the bigger 3.7 vapes like a Ego or Tornado.

  • lol you caught me off guard at the end there xD

  • hmm... the tabback industries talk shit about e cigarettes!!! they loooose a many of cash because them! this clip is bullshit!!!!
