how many ram slot has the M11x-laptop and could i buy ram myself and put it in it?? i am not a extreme computer expert but i know enough to put ram into it, if i buty it from the dell site, how many rams could i put in it and how much gb ram's i could put in there please react fast i really want to know this stuff

@deniz11muis1 2 max of 8 gb i think not like you would need 16 thou lolz.. Anyways get the r3 though or m14x doesn't really matter.

The Core 2 duo version of the m11x is overclocked in the bios from 1.3 to 1.7 ghz. This cpu is designed to be overclocked whenever you want with no damage or overheating to it.

Would this overclock damage the m11x? Or is it made to be overclocked to 1.6, if trying to overclock higher, would that damage it?

@ThisLadChanny Haven't heard of any damage done from it. It's even mentioned in the user manual. I don't think you can overclock higher, since this is an on/off setting in the BIOS. You cannot adjust the FSB like on home-built PCs.

next month they're making the i3-i7 standard processors for this model... I wonder what those will do to the battery life. : \ I'm debating on whether I should wait for a little more power and less battery or getting one of these now.

Wait for the i7, it will be worth it. The current processors are just bottlenecking the system.

@mezzadakiller too late I just shelled out for the m15x with mid level specs instead. heh. I'm not really that big on the extreme performance and pushing it to its limit for some extra shine... I'm the type that chooses gameplay over graphics any day and as long as the game runs well at a medium level, I'm good.

this is much more powerfull than a ps3 or a xbox 360 the old 8600 gts is near but this surpace and only in 11" with everiting exept DVD unit. more slim than a ps3 slim. ZFMBE

Can this output @ 1080p on a 22" in the standard games at low / med video settings ? Anyone made some conclusive tests ?At home i would love to hook up an external display to watch a movie or play a game at higher res on a bigger screen.

11" just won't cut it .

@iamnotinthehouse yes, it's just an option in the BIOS and takes 10 sec to change

@GTALLNIGHT When you plug in your xbox 360 controller to the usb port it will start showing you the Xbox buttons on the tips.
