  • Sweeeet dude !

  • This is great! :)

  • lesson please

  • Sorry, but I don't make tutorials and play by the ear without tabs.I like to play the uke, but I'm not a teacher.

I don't play in standard tuning. My tuning: D G B D. If you want to try this tuning ( open G, dropped D ), you have to put on the strings from thick to thin ( biggest string is the 4th,second biggest the 3rd and so on ).

The chords are D, C, G. All the time. Like the original.

I use plecs by Jim Dunlop ( 1mm ) and mostly glass bottlenecks.

Thank you all for the nice comments.

  • @Montecore505 I have no idea how you manage to not break strings with this method- I've broken 2 high d's.

  • @JoeytheGrape : You have to take rather thin strings, then the tension is lower.

For soprano I use Hannabach Nylonstrings or as you see in the video Carbon

( RISA or Worth ). If the string always breaks on the same spot, there is a problem with the uke. But I broke some high strings as well. Now I play mostly baritone uke, where I can use guitar strings ( Hannabach Goldin ). The open G-tuning works out better on bigger ukes ( tenor, baritone ).

  • Yes a tutorial would be much apprieciated. I have been wanting to learn a picking version for so long. I do not like the strumming version I found for the uke.

  • Really well played and good cover.

considered doing a tutorial video for the inro??? haha would be apreciated byeveryone by the looks of things.

  • This is a bottleneck. It's made out glass. It is used to play Slide-

    guitar.
