OMG you are so silly, i was cracking up when i saw this, i am nearly in tears. So i am going natural my self and i co-wash my hair about once to twice every two weeks, and i wash it like maybe once every 2 1/2 months, and i love how my hair feels and my new growth is so thick and full, and i must say that watching your videos is really helpful for my hair journey. THANKS!!!!
I dont know any black person that has permed hair that washes there hair everyday whether with shampoo or conditioner if it works for you then dont even comment on people with there bullshit cuz believe me its more to come cuz people lives are boring as hell and they have to have some type of confrontation to make there's exciting. You are handsome and your hair looks great!
I love how you give her all your credentials. I was smiling and found it interesting how people seem to act like they know everything. I won't lie, I have probably done that.
yeah i agree with you on the shampooing ...i have curly hair like yours and find shampooing kinda just dries it out too much,,and only do it like every few months or longer...
Maybe she's white.... I have read plenty of articles that say it's bad to shampoo often. If you have to shampoo you should only shampoo the scalp not the whole hair shaft because of the reasons you said. I mostly just co-wash and after 2yrs of transitioning my natural hair is apl (straight) and thats after my hair broke off a couple times because I wasn't taking care of it so idk what she's talking about
Lol she obviously doesn't have the same hair type as you & most of us! love this vid made me laugh :) people really don't think before they comment on videos, especially when they have no relation to you hair type...making silly comments without solid facts smh
THIS IS MY THIRD TIME WATCHING THIS VIDEO AND I STILL CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT. I LOVE IT...MY FAVORITE LINE, I DON'T WANT TO GET BOASTFUL...LOL GET OUT OF HERE WITH THAT BS...AND LETS PUT ONE AND TWO TOGETHER ONE AND TWO...I DON'T KNOW IF YOU WATCH YOUR OWN VIDEOS BUT YOU REALLY SET THIS PERSON STRAIGHT IN A COMICAL WAY. I REALLY NEED TO CARRY THIS VIDEO AROUND TO SET PEOPLE STRAIGHT WHO ARE IGNORANT WHEN IT COMES TO NATURAL HAIR. THUMBS UP MARQUISE AND YOU ARE TOO CUTE, NICE HAIR:) LOL
I KNOW YOU POSTED THIS MONTHS BACK, BUT I LAUGHED SO HARD MY STOMACH STARTED HURTING. I'M NOT TRYING TO BE BOASTFUL LOL, LET ME SLAP YOU THREE TIMES FOR THAT...LET US PUT ONE AND TWO TOGETHER ONE AND TWO...GET OUT OF HERE WITH THAT BS...THIS VIDEO MADE MY DAY. I NEED TO CARRY THIS AROUND TO PLAY TO ALL THE IGNORANT PEOPLE WHO DO NOT KNOW ABOUT NATURAL HAIR. YOU REALLY BROKE IT DOWN FOR THEM LOL I LOVE IT :)
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!...."let me back slap you 3x for that"!!!!....LMAO YOU TELL EM' MARQUISE0907...with your CUTE SELF!!! and your correct about caucasion ppl...they don't like "oily" hair...that's why they azz got LICE!!!
lmao@ "i don't know what kinda natural you are" lol. I agree with what you're saying. I've been fully natural for a little over a year. after my big chop i tried it once and stopped using it. I co wash my hair. Shampoo dries my hair out. I've had so many people tell me "ugh, you don't wash your her that's nasty" the bottom line is that we know what works for us. people need to learn how to share their opinions without being condescending.
What up marquise, I had to comment on this, let me start with saying im glad to see guy on here giving commentary on black hair, I am a guy with long hair and I know dam well you don't wash your hair natural everyday, the dryness alone would cause breakage and damage. Aside from follow your commentaries, try looking at "Rusticbeauty" and "Ms.Kibibi". They both have helped me in having natural long hair. :Let me know what you think
Wait...you know what though? You're absolutely right about shampoo. You DEFINITELY should not wash your hair with shampoo daily - my father is a doctor and he even told me that I shouldn't wet my hair everyday (lol I do anyway) but sebum gets washed away without shampoo...I wash my hair weekly, but that's b/c I style my hair daily and want to prevent product buildup, and I always use a non-sulfate poo. LOL @ lustrous. But don't listen to other ppl, do what works for YOU. :)
@CuPCaKeNmE "...If I washed my hair everyday, I would be bald!" LMAO I for my part would not have hair,I'd have straw that's how dry and brittle it would become.
You already know this, but that person doesn't know what he/she is talking about. I know from direct observation that even people with straight-as-a-toothpick Asian or Caucasian hair run into problems when they shampoo (with sulfates) on a daily basis. It dries the heck out of their hair and scalp. Their hair can handle it (usually), but their scalps get flaky.
Afro-textured hair can't handle it (usually). Co-washing or washing with sulfate-free products saves the day for us & we smell great!
BUT.. the person who made that comment was overstepping boundaries.. at the end of the say, its yo head.. not theirs.
If your scalp and hair are in good shape then you are alright, but if your scalp is itching then you would revisit shampooing. I find applecider vinegar rinse helpful to remove buildup and cleanse the hair. If one chooses to shampoo, a ph balance of 4.5-5.5 is important bc its the ph of heathy scalp and hair.
Hey Marquise, I just wantd to comment bc there is a myth about overshampooing in th black community. Its not the number of times you are shampooing, but its the use of harsh, sulfate laddened shampoos. As we know, clean scalp is the foundation of healthy hair. I just read a book called, the black women's guide to bautiful hair (of course its for males, kids too!) and it's helpful lol
also... one (one many) reasons that i'm kinda tired of all this natural community" business is b/c everyone wants to act like they now everything about hair b/c some other youtuber said it... it's getting really old.
i'm tired of these ppl sitting up in the camera w/ dry, dusty looking, damaged hair trying to tell me what products i should and should not use. like, heifer, my hair is doing just fine, WORRY ABOUT YOURS, and leave me the hell alone
well... idk about sebum... but i know if you use products w/ cones in it, you should shampoo at least once a month b/c conditioner isn't enough to wash off the cones and that can cause product buildup and make it hard for the hair to absorb moisture.
but if not shampooing works for you, it doesn't really matter what anyone else feels about it. i'm sure you'd be having issue by now if not shampooing was THAT bad.
did yo try applying the products while your hair was wet? how did it work?
I know this is late..but you had me cracking up...you sure gave it to her...I agree with everything you said....she was out of line. love you
