The point is not everyone can sing the same song. It is like a signature. Also it brings more appeal to have a motable artist and it seems Rob is from another label which is certainly a loaner.

I can't help but notice the comment "lent him to us"....I don't see Rob as property to be loaned and this clown shoulda had his jaw knocked off on the spot for that comment. It was completely disrespectful. Mind you, I'd be first in line if it were at all possible and I know it was probably just a bad choice of worda but I'm surprised that no one has called him on it yet. I had to. Wow, I think they're both great! They sound great together, especially the chorus! I will admit that this song might be a little low for Rob, but I still liked them together. Hahahah .. Funny as hell watching Rob Thomas sing the song better than the actual singer of the band. The real singer is nasely and awful to listen to.
Rob Thomas is obviously the better vocalist. Adam sounds like a prepubescent boy and that is the only reason he has range. Rob's voice is much fuller and more distinguished not to mention powerful you can't even hear adam when they sing together. Effortless for Rob a struggle for adam who is trying way to hard to keep up
If you guys honestly beleive that Adam is less talented then Rob when it comes to vocal ability then your really are lacking in musical judgment. This is completely unbiased, because I love both bands equally. Although Rob is more of a composer and musician Adam will always be more of a vocalist then anything- his range is higher and he has a hell of a lot more energy.
i didn't think he was flat, but i can see where you would think that. when compared to Adam's high tenor, probably a contralto voice, Rob's voice sounds weak in comparison. the song isnt meant for someone with Rob's voice. but all in all, he did a pretty good job
if you think he sings flat -> guyz they're just singing without effects on their voices...and neither of their voice is weak...but Rob Thomas DOES have better intonation than Adam...and NO he's not weak vocally either...
Rob's voice doesn't fit the song, yet sounds way better than Adam, who insists on being as shrill as possible, in an attempt to sound like an adolescent girl.

@yeahtoast22 why too fast? your silly have you not heard all his songs? "Lets see how far we've come" is a fast song. If i had never heard maroon 5 sing this song i would think rob could do it just fine, the problem is that the key is too high, which gets him outta breath.

@OwenRelease This is real music. When wonderfully talented artists sing for real on stage they won't sound perfect. You can hear them out of breath and their enthusiasm and enjoyment of singing and performing comes through. But of course you are entitled to your opinion.

Rob Thomas is obviously the better vocalist. Adam sounds like a prepubescent boy and that is the only reason he has range. Rob's voice is much fuller and more distinguished not to mention powerful you can't even hear adam when they sing together. Effortless for Rob a struggle for adam who is trying way to hard to keep up

If you guys honestly beleive that Adam is less talented then Rob when it comes to vocal ability then your really are lacking in musical judgment. This is completely unbiased, because I love both bands equally. Although Rob is more of a composer and musician Adam will always be more of a vocalist then anything- his range is higher and he has a hell of a lot more energy.

i didn't think he was flat, but i can see where you would think that. when compared to Adam's high tenor, probably a contralto voice, Rob's voice sounds weak in comparison. the song isnt meant for someone with Rob's voice. but all in all, he did a pretty good job
