Well age is taken it's toll and his injuries never helped but his downfall was going to the Cowboys who already had young uprising talent Miles Austin Dez Bryant and then on top of that veteran's like T.O and Witten. So he didn't fit in very well and was used to being the number 1 threat since his HS in Odessa Texas (part of the "friday night lights" football team btw) UT and then until Detroit. He was pretty successful until he became a cowboy. Now it's like he doesn't even care.

The reason Roy didn't have much success in Dallas is because Romo is an inaccurate passer and Jason Garret tried to hide Romo's weakness by designing an offense where receivers had to get open like in high school or college and thus Romo can only pass to one easy big target Witten.

One of them yes he got hit that turned into an int but Roy has had 3 different balls caught where he got knocked the fuck out got right back up and hung onto it. No drops for roy this year so far. Only 12 receptions but that's because the ball isn't force fed to him like Dez. Roy's too fast to only be a red zone threat.

I know Flozell Adams false started a lot but he still protected Romo. And it shows when he was doing fine against jared allen but as soon as he went down is when they all started to take over. In this video he looks more agressive and he seems to go up and snatch the ball where as in dallas when romo doesnt overthrow him half the time, he seems to let the ball come to him instead of going up to grab it. Ive watched roy ever since he was at Texas and last year was the only time i saw him struggle with drops. If he returns to form then Dallas has the best WR core in the league

Miles austin had a good year because he is fuckin awesome. he breaks tackles like no other wr ive seen. His own athletic ability got him pro bowl, not Romo or garrett.

romo missed roy when he was wide open many times. he missed bennett wide open in that same green bay game youre talkin about. @MrJoiner5 Romo hit Roy for many TDs actually, I don't think thats too big of a deal. Roy just does not contribute to the team if they are not near the endzone. Whether it was brady or brees throwing, wide receivers need to get separation. Also all qbs miss wide receivers, nobody is perfect. SInce they are throwing 40+ passes a game one or two aren't going to be on target, but if a wide receiver only gets like 5 passes and he drops two, that hurts a lot more statistically.

Well age is taken it's toll and his injuries never helped but his downfall was going to the Cowboys who already had young uprising talent Miles Austin Dez Bryant and then on top of that veteran's like T.O and Witten. So he didn't fit in very well and was used to being the number 1 threat since his HS in Odessa Texas (part of the "friday night lights" football team btw) UT and then until Detroit. Chicago you got you a helluva receiver. Romo and Jason Garrett were simply too incompetent to use Roy Williams. Romo is the only QB in the league who can only pass the ball to a couple of guys. Most QB can pass it to anybody you put in front of them.

The reason Roy didn't have much success in Dallas is because Romo is an inaccurate passer and Jason Garret tried to hide Romo's weakness by designing an offense where receivers had to get open like in high school or college and thus Romo can only pass to one easy big target Witten.

One of them yes he got hit that turned into an int but Roy has had 3 different balls caught where he got knocked the fuck out got right back up and hung onto it. No drops for roy this year so far. Only 12 receptions but that's because the ball isn't force fed to him like Dez. Roy's too fast to only be a red zone threat.

I know Flozell Adams false started a lot but he still protected Romo. In this video he looks more agressive and he seems to go up and snatch the ball where as in dallas when romo doesnt overthrow him half the time, he seems to let the ball come to him instead of going up to grab it. And I know Roy has fucked up but with his talent that he clearly has he's big strong fast athletic long arms he can jump he can make spectacular catches but he's not mentally focused and Roy hasn't been thrown to all that much. 1 more chance before I give up on him. He made Joey Harrington and Kitna look good and Romo's better than both of them. Just never got on the same page.

Last season Crayton did nothing but come through during critical points in the game when we needed a big play. Roys glory days at Texas and his 15min of fame in Detroit are over. In 08 we got Roy who was a freakin bust, and in 09 it was Miles Austin... So Crayton has never gotten a chance to be #1 even if he was good enough!!!!

Stats don't lie but fans will always make excuses for this guy. Witten has had a good year, Austin had a good year but even when roy was in detroit he still statistically only had 1 good year which was 06 which Austin still beat him. Roy E Williams is ass i watched him get hit in the face, hands and numbers by the ball. For yall Romo bashers out there Romo had one of his best seasons this last season. Even better than the 2007 season. He had the least interceptions in his whole career look it up. As for Roy i believe his best days are behind him I will keep him just because we will take 9 million hit with or without him and we gave up so much. roy was open many many many times this season. Even wade philips acknowledged that. A wr doesnt need to be WIDE open to be open. Especially a 6'3" wr with a 38in vertical leap! He excels on screens and slants. In Detroit you never heard of all that bashing he gets hear in dallas. he didnt lose his talent over night. He just isnt being used correctly. I bet Drew Brees could get him the ball. hell i bet jon kitna can get him the ball. Romo cant make precise throws like the elite qb's.

SO even if he isnt wide open and he has 1 on 1 coverage, for goodness sakes throw him the ball and let him make a play on it. TO is a top 5 wide out period, in the history of the NFL. But the last year he was here Romo couldn't get him the damn ball. Miles austin had a good year because he is fuckin awesome. he breaks tackles like no other wr ive seen. His own athletic ability got him pro bowl, not Romo or garrett.
Now i flip the script. how is it that roy led the nfc in rec yards in 06 and have a pro bowl with jon kitna at qb yet he cant with romo??
How is it that roy can have this superb highlight film with kitna and harrington at qb yet this cant be done with romo??

How about Roy dropping passes that hit him in the helmet, those are pretty accurate. He can't run routes and does not get separation, its hard to throw to a receiver who can't do that. Also when he does catch it he fumbles away a TD against the packers, why would you throw him the ball after that.

@MrJoiner5 Romo hit Roy for many TDs actually, I don't think thats too big of a deal. Roy just does not contribute to the team if they are not near the endzone. Whether it was brady or brees throwing, wide receivers need to get separation. Also all qbs miss wide receivers, nobody is perfect. SInce they are throwing 40+ passes a game one or two aren't going to be on target, but if a wide receiver only gets like 5 passes and he drops two, that hurts a lot more statistically.
