yes it does when i first got on them i was 220 and got down to 177 that was over 6years ago. i look on a websit and put in a order ------ i been on them four days i and lost ten pounds

@paripampuful You can lose up to 4 pounds a week. maybe more but its not healthy.

yap been on phentermine a month and a half and lost 20 pounds, side effect I had was dry mouth which I just fixed with Gatorade mixed half with water :) ...guess some people react different and it is not for everybody

Honestly everyone keeps saying there are so many side effects from phentermine...I haven't had one and I have been on it for 2 months, and lost 45 pounds so far.

Doctors in the U.S. are too damned conservative! I weighed 240 lbs and my doctor wouldn't presribe it to me either. If you go to a weight loss clinic they will however the medication costs around $118 for 28 pills which is bullshit because what they give you is the generic form of the medicaiton which only costs $38. I go to Mexico to get it and its sold under the name Axcion - Fentermina 30 mg. You can get a presription for it over there with no problem, just pay $35
