I'll always be a Purple fan, but as some older fans agree...I love the old days. The MII and MIII eras will always be my favorite. To me it seems that every solo that Steve Morse plays sounds the same. But Ritchie's solos were always unpredictable and that made him exciting to listen to. But that's my opinion.....
