I love G-DUB!!! just wait when the USA goes down hill with Jimmy Carter, I meen Barak nOboma in the white house. Everyone will be wishing for G-Dub back in the White House.
For anyone that would like to check out Newt Gingrich's 6 hour web cast "Returning government from the world that fails to the world that works: Transforming government through 511,000 elected offices" at American Solutions web site. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Colbert was invited to the White House Correspondents Dinner...This was the Radio & TV Correspondents Dinner.
Bush might not have written most of those jokes, but he definitely executed them pretty well. We need more presidents that have a sense of humor and can laugh at themselves.
Funniest part: President Clinton wrote a very successful presidential memoir with 10,000 pages or something. I'm thinking of something fun and creative for mine. You know, maybe a pop-up book.
I appreciate the sarcasm but I must say for being conscious of the failed polices and multiple humiliating scenarios his administration has been part of and still going it "his way" George is beyond simple arrogance and leaning far into tyranny.
Politics at its funniest. As much as I despise Bush, I give him credit for this. He may be a horible president, but I bet he would make a great drinking buddy. Think about it: It would be like that one guy in any group of friends. That one who spitts out jumbled phrases here and there, You know the stupid one. Bush would be a fantastic stupid friend, but in a good way.
Why would you ever want someone who you could see being your drinking buddy the president? I don't want my leader to be "an average folksy kind of guy".
Did you ever notice that only the people who "despise" President Bush call him stupid? And they sound like of those fantastic stupid friends that talk too much when they drink?
i guess i sounded a bit fanatic, but i just think the way america is turning to more atheistic and self satisfying religions, that a practicing christian president will be out of style. But like any other person on here, i dont know what will happen, and it is definitely not cool to dwell on it. i just hate how people make him sound like an idiot just because he worships jesus christ. I respect him so much more because he relizes that he truly has no strength of his own.
No, you didn't sound fanatic at all. If we tell it like it is some people like to treat us like fanatics. Our president is confident enough to let his religion show. If more of us started complaining about our Christian religion being banned while Muslim Imams are allowed to preach our deaths in our streets our children and grandchildren might be spared from living under Sharia Law as they are starting to be in Euruope. Man, that was a long sentence. Guess where my passion is.

Humor is the only way you handle vultures that are always swarming above your head.

Never have another Christian president? HA!

I love our president, also. Why wouldn't we have another Christian president? Is someone trying to ban Christian presidents now?

Some of it was funny, but having someone write your material does not make *you* witty... (and don't kid yourself, George didn't write those jokes)

How do you know? Who wrote this reply for you? Surely you couldn't have done this for yourself.
