The verse of this song is very strange. Took me twenty minutes to come up with something like this:

C C#/E C/E Am C/G Fmaj7 Dm7 F/G

C C#/E C/E Am C/G Fmaj7 F/D# D7sus4 D7 F/G

But no one is playing it like this on Youtube and my sheet music that I have from this piece is also different (saying something like C E7-9 E7...).

And I still have to figure out "Joy inside my tears", what for heaven's sake is he playing in the verse after singing "You, you, you, you make life history"?
