What gauge string are you using, currently using 10s myself but I don't feel like I get the same thick tones. But I am running through a Line 6 pod and Super Cham XD. @anathema199201 Learn the pentatonic+blues scales. It can be difficult to relate the scale to actual solo phrasing at first, but when you have learnt the basic scales, you will begin to notice the points of reference between the scale and the solos of your favourite artists.
