Douche. Who does the military choose first to take control??? The air force. Who does their best and doesn't critisize anyone else? The air force. Who do u fuckin call wen u pissies are in a fuckin pinch and you need help? The air force because u can't do it alone. So I don't want to FUKIN HEAR IT!!!!! Ok dude?
@acebomber21 actually... where im at the air force doesnt do much... the marines do most of the flying... the army does medevac. and we get air support from other military, i.e. polish, then we do from the air force.. so your wrong...and the air force is huge on shit talking while they sit inside the fob and we roll outside with wire...
Faggets we are marine and wat does the damm air force does just fly planes like shit ass we marines fight for our. Country oooorah the air force will never be ready
Your just stupid........... If we didn't have marines now days we'd still be fine cause we have the army (yes the marines do make ever ones jobs easier but there not that big as you think but still important). Also the air force is like the brains of the operations watching over you so you don't get fucked over..... TOLD
this is cool. i got a year till a graduate then i plan on goin to the air force. in the cadence wat did they say about the marines? icouldnt hear. i like to find any type of marine insult and say it to my brother since he plans on goin to the marines but its jus for fun and he does the same to me.
Bringing back memories. Was 324th Honor Flight 447, sister flight 448 was Warrior flight. Apparently that hasnt happened in a long ass time. This was back in 06 though.
Finished BMT and tech school. Tech school is a joke and the only REAL hard part about BMT is the feeling of letting yourself and your flight mates down. PT was not so hard and the yelling was something you got used to. I learned a lot about leadership and structure from my experience with the flight. We had a good dorm chief and element leaders. I learned that you need certain kinds of people for things run smooth. You need the jokers, the nagging but cool leader, etc.
Although I am shipping out to Army basic training in January to Fort Jackson, South Carolina and I tend to be biased about the Army, I feel that each and every branch risks our lives to defend this nation and continues to fight for our freedoms.
hows that, we dont ground and pound like the army we dont swab decks like the navy, were not low flying marines, and the coast guard doesnt work hard their part of the military but yet their not combat oriented. Wat the air force does is keep the planes in the air, then we fly the planes and then we drop bombs if anything the airforce does the most asskicking in the military
read all the stuff u don't do, navy doesn't only swab decks, army doesn't just ground and pound, marines aren't low flying, in fact they all have their own airforce. we are the ones that keep your ass safe when you hit the dirt(rare) may be a smart branch but defenitely not combat ready.
well it depends wat u mean by combat ready cuz were not a ground force we dont ground and pound although we have our share of guys who do ground work. And as for flying were the best at wat we do we deliver supplies we give the army and marines airstrike and we also do reconaissence missions and lots and lots of bombing. army and marines basically do the same thing and seriously wat does the navy do anyways, theres is not much naval warfare goin on.
Get ready for an ass kicking! Consider yourself lucky if you don't get the 321st or 331st training squadron, they are by far the hardest. I was in the 321st and had kitchen duty at 331st, and man prepare yourself. It's going to be one of the best experiences you'll ever have.
@mugenfd24dr i wouldnt be so sure... you do know the coast guard is used for taking out drug trafficing, keeping wanted men in u.s. and because their so high in number and not duty, they get to rescue civalins who drift out to sea or their boat sank. i think their other job is helping protect the sea coast. of course their not an OFFICAL branch of military, though they are a branch if you know what i mean...
air force BMT was extended from 6.5 to 8.5 weeks on November 3rd 2008. Field Training week went from one week to two weeks. More emphasis is based on warrior skills and Physical training. The last 6.5 week BMT flight graduated in December.
I know all this because I heard all of it from Brig. Gen. Len Patrick (Commander 37th TRW) when I was in BMT.
I was in the 331st TRS flights 347/363/415 between April 1st and June 16th 2008. I was seperated from the Air Force due to a medical issue on 3 JUL 08.
Hey lkyrog, is it true that the Air Force increased the difficulty of their boot camp due to the Iraq War? I read that somewhere but I'm not sure if it's true. The reason why I ask is because I'm thinking of joining. I was bordering between Marines or Air Force, but after finding out about Halliburton and the way they treated the Army and Marines I decided Air Force. I just want to make sure I pass the PT requirements before I enter. Any response is appreciated. ty
They extended the length 2 weeks so they can do more field training....It's not any harder though, just longer. To be ready for PT start running, do push-ups and sit-ups.....My son started training 3 months before he left and did fine.
@lkyrog Only 3 months? Well, I guess thats better than most. I have been training for about 5 months and plan to keep a steady routine for the next 2 years I got before I can join. Coast Guard isn't really a branch though. It's home defense, like the National Guard. It falls under the Department of Homeland Security, not Defense. The Marine Corps is the smallest branch, and yes, even the Coast Guard has a higher budget than the Marines do.
Murphy you are dead wrong, i think you need to go educate yourself. As of July 31st, 2008, the marine corps has 194,912 active duty as opposed to the coast guards 42,331 active duty. For the Army
im assuming youre 18-23 in which case you need 42 pushups in 2 minutes , 47 situps in 2 minutes, and a 2 mile time of 15:54.
but that is the ABSOLUTE minimum. after basic training if you're still getting those scores, you are an embarrassment
marines is a 3 mile time, but i don't recall the number for pullups or situps.
but recruiters can tell you
but dont give them your info unless you're serious because they WILL bug you nonstop
hope to see you down range someday brother
