The diversity of Iran's people like the diversity of its climates, considering its relatively small current size (after all the secessions and take overs e.g. all the Istans & Bahrain), could only be explained by one thing and that's the "hospitality" of the Iranians. Yes the Elamites were very dark (maybe even black skinned), but they weren't of African origin. They were dark or black skinned in the same way that many Indians and Sri Lankans are dark or black skinned. Most of the Elamites were assimilated into the Persian population and culture though.
