:/ Honestly, I feel like true fans would be able to respect their favourite show's roots. Maybe it's not new and improved animation, maybe you don't like the plot, the voices, the characters, but damn, this was apparently the shiznit in my cousin's day, and she and I watched old VHS's of this every day while we re-enacted the scenes out with our pony figurines. I have very fond memories tied to this show. :) Respect people, respect! If not for this, you wouldn't have MLP today!

MLP tales came on in conjunction to the above show. There were always two episodes of something playing; either it was all of what yo use above, Tales and the above, or both of them were tales. I remember this distinctly from when these shows were airing on TV.

If anyone has referred to Tales ad G2, then they were being misleading.

G2 was only a toy line.

@okuni2 I have no clue if this and Tales were ever aired together (seems likely they'd re-air the original show with Tales to aestablish them the same franchise), but they are indeed both G1. It is a common misconception that Tales is G2, but G2 never had a cartoon. G2 is the only generation never to have a cartoon. G1 had two cartoons.

@dundeecake Well, many people consider MLP Tales to be G2, I truly don't care what you think of it. The original MLP n'Friends was aired in the 80's. MLP Tales was created in the 90's and aired on Disney Channel, along with the original MLP episodes from the 80's. They are about 10 years apart and have different toys, different voice actors, etc.
