I've been reading Mr Von Daniken's books for over twenty years. All he does is points out anomolies & asks questions. He was one who started out trying to disprove the very theories he brings attention to today; a self-convert, if you will. I do remember Daniken being shown as a fraud for his photographs of so called "UFO parking bays" on the Plains of Nazca in Peru. It turned out the photos were the wing feathers of a bird drawn on the Nazca desert no bigger than a foot across. Also he claimed stone artefacts carved with images of heart transplant operations being performed were more than 4000 years old. It turned out they were being made by a local stone artist and being sold to tourists.

Evolution is a fact, but that doesn't mean we got to where we're at now through natural evolution. We almost certainly evolved naturally to some early homo-erectus form. After that things don't add up in the time-line. There is plenty of logic behind the idea that something intervened then to accelerate the process. Then it all makes sense.
It's not evolution vs. intelligent design. It's evolution & intelligent design working together. Design by other beings, not omnipotent "Gods" btw.
@JunmaiShu yes, things don't add up. It's not possible to conceive that we haven't added it all up based on the less than 1% of the earths surface we have archaeological digs on. My point is that instead of just blindly disregarding all these theories that don't fit with the "company line", they should at least be considered. Many of them have merit. The problem is the scientific community in general is arrogant. They don't want to acknowledge new evidence that may contradict their previous findings then have to admit they were wrong (and re-write a bunch of books). That's probably the biggest hurdle holding us back from really getting at the truth.

I've been reading Mr Von Daniken's books for over twenty years. All he does is points out anomolies & asks questions. He was one who started out trying to disprove the very theories he brings attention to today; a self-convert, if you will. The man is one of the smartest alive with the closest thing to an open mind the earth has to offer to date. Wanna hate? Too bad, you can't knock the truth!

An evidence is not a proof though. While Sitchin and von Däniken are good for stimulating the imagination, these are merely theories which awake even more questions that lean towards disbelief towards ETs. To believe these theories we have to presume other planets with life forms have evolved the same way Earth did and their concept of intelligence is the same as ours. So for example why are the ETs man shaped or how could an ET teach warfare if his planet would not have the concept of war?

At some point in history everybody unanimously decided that gold was to be the most precious metal (coincidence?). Our gods needed gold to sustain their technological expansion; this is why gold was perceived to be something that brought us closer to the “gods. Thank you Erich von Daniken, for dispelling, the so called down to earth explanations of wise scientist. Not to put them down. Science has truly served humanity well until the human ego started creeping in. Example, can architects blueprint describe the inner decor of the house? Blueprints can only describe structural aspects of it. And so does enter ego driven science sort of fill in the blank, thinking they know it all, but in reality they describes the incomplete 2D rather than 3D world.

Mr Daniken, I wonder in your research, if it ever ocur to you a question of why there is poverty and unequal distribution of resources in this planet?. Where does the surplus resources accumulated by those who control world economy, the brotherhood or Illuminati go? Anyway.It was July 2, about 2:30 in the morning. I went out to my car to get my phone cuz I was looking all over for it when I realized it might be in there. So on my way back to the house. This guy must be very humble and geniune to present a theory that was similar to when Coloumbus suggested that the world was round to the his own people..to know that going out there and present his theory to be laughed at is a brave move.

His books allways go in much much more detail which supports and makes all his claims believable.So a presentation would-be/is much less believable due to the restricted amount of time to bring the information.
in other words;In his books he asks himself "why" constantly and often gets to possible answers.
So for a presentation its interesting to go directly to the conclusions if you know that you dont have all the time you want and need...which makes it less believable in my opinion.

But, i suppose that if you are a person who believes in this nonsense, nothing anyone says will probably change your mind. But don't ever claim that the evidence supports this nonsense. This guy lost his marbles a long time ago and has never gotten them back. He has done some great research, but it should reflect human ingenuity, not alien ingenuity.

No way, i'm sorry, but this guys conclusions are nothing more than conjecture, and misinterpreted evidence. All of the evidence only points to one thing, that all of the alien and extra-terrestrial so called encounters are the result of human delusions and human origins. Shared experiences among humans are the most recorded of all events. Nothing this guy claims is beyond the creation of the human mind and human effort.

This guy is a great man. He has woken many 000's of people up to what is out there in the universe.

Erich has a lot of imagination but it's not science.. He's a good storyteller though.. At school I actually made an essay on his theories when I still believed in them.. It's a thrilling idea, would make a good movie/tv series..

I know that his reputation is slightly tarnished ever since I speak Erich's language. Nevertheless he gained credibility simply by owning up to his false claims and carrying on undeterred. I respect that and like it to listen to him when he intimidates his critics. Erich is a very sagacious and witty contender.

Please have a look at my picture video "living UFO".
In early 2008 I had a close encounter with a hovering light ball, after it had appeared from a distance in my pictures, since about a month.
The picturevideo has the original pictures where it appears as a small ball, and in the end I added a very detailled painting I made shortly after the close encounter. In the close encounter it was a transparant ball, where in the pictures it was completely whitish, silvery.

Von Daniken's Paleoseti-theori doesnt exclude the existens of God, it merely gives a very plausible explenation to all the various ancient text's which describes being's arriving here from space/heaven, and who possesed a far greater and deeper understanding of our physical universe.

This is very interesting to listen to but it won`t convince me any of this stuff actually happened. Von Daniken has been proven to be a fake and a fantasist. I`m not ruling out the possibility of alien life visiting this planet but this guys theories come across as rather woolly and vague.

I do remember Daniken being shown as a fraud for his photographs of so called "UFO parking bays" on the Plains of Nazca in Peru. It turned out the photos were the wing feathers of a bird drawn on the Nazca desert no bigger than a foot across. Also he claimed stone artefacts carved with images of heart transplant operations being performed were more than 4000 years old. It turned out they were being made by a local stone artist and being sold to tourists.

Daniken doesnt say that we were visited by aliens, he simply makes it obvious for this viewer that the evidence around us supports his theory, much more then it does the bible theory, or the theory of evolution.

actually matt matt he is a fraud, he spent three years in prison after Chariots of the Gods? for fraud. He admits that he got a potter to make a fake artifact and then he supposedly "found" it and claimed it to be evidence. Ive read Chariots of the Gods, ive seen the show, its a great theory, but thats all that it is, there is no hard evidence for this to be true, as badass as it would be, you might as well believe in God or something

Evolution is a fact, but that doesn't mean we got to where we're at now through natural evolution. We almost certainly evolved naturally to some early homo-erectus form. After that things don't add up in the time-line. There is plenty of logic behind the idea that something intervened then to accelerate the process. Then it all makes sense.
It's not evolution vs. intelligent design. It's evolution & intelligent design working together. Design by other beings, not omnipotent "Gods" btw.

@JunmaiShu yes, things don't add up. It's not possible to conceive that we haven't added it all up based on the less than 1% of the earths surface we have archaeological digs on. So logically, we must assume that aliens did it all. Hey, thats a good idea, just go ahead and give them credit for everything you don't understand. "Hey, aliens invented vagina too!"

My point is that instead of just blindly disregarding all these theories that don't fit with the "company line", they should at least be considered. Many of them have merit. The problem is the scientific community in general is arrogant. They don't want to acknowledge new evidence that may contradict their previous findings then have to admit they were wrong (and re-write a bunch of books). That's probably the biggest hurdle holding us back from really getting at the truth.

@mattmatt115 he was exposed as a fraud by the swiss government. he was convicted of fraud on three occassions. he was found guilty of embezzlement and wrote return of the gods while serving his sentence. he admitted in interviews that he hired a potter to make "ancient ufo pottery", that the iron spike was man made, and submitted faked photos as evidence. when confronted, he says that his theories would not be taken seriously if he did not show proof, and therefore was justified.
