when you are showing your alter, why don't you explain the signifigance/historical information pertaining to each object, aside from the obvious-eg this object represents air...and so on.

A more in depth reason behind the use of salt ect. would be more beneficial to others and show that you do know about the historical meaning than saying this is my knife/feather/ abalone bowl..

Because it wasn't an 'instructional' vid, was shooting it 'blind' (couldn't see if it was being captured on the puter or not lol), it was just a peek at what mine looks like, I didn't want to get into any explanations at the time (as you can tell by the sloppy footage, holding the webcam in 1 hand and trying to stretch it across to the altar was a fun enough experience at the time lol). Satanists have their own belief system, and although I am not part of it, I do realize they are free to believe as they wish; that goes for any belief system, thus I do not feel the need/desire to 'destroy' anyone's belief system. As for discrimination, I agree, I cant stand discrimination against any belief system, whether or not I agree with its particular views. We are all free 2 choose as we believe but it is the misinformed who link items such as pentacles with strictly Satanic beliefs

Stupid? If you come to insult or judge, you are not welcome here. You are obviously MISINFORMED. Pentacles have been used by various belief systems. Satanists use inverted crosses and yes at times pentacles, which tends to represent "Spirt descending into matter". It is not an evil symbol, inverted or otherwise as it represents Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit/Divinity. Just b/c I use a pentacle does not mean that I am stupid nor does it mean that I am a Satanist.

Go Crafty! :) Some people just can't help but mock people of different beleifs. I am amazed at how many people are "experts" on religous symbols because they saw a "satanist" wear a pentacle... A little research would help put an end to people like ftr34 who feel they are right and other people (who have made a religion their life) are wrong.

Also ftr34 very few "Satanist" actually worship satan. Most don't even believe he exists.

You can find them at garage sales/flea markets/used stores etc for a fraction of the price. That's where I found mine :) Might save you a penny or two ;)

I definatly recomend making your own wand. I am currently making my own. Its taken me about a month perhaps longer to put it together and I absolutly love how its turning out. :)
