  • The LOOM continue with the name THE FORGE more info at

    forgedemodotproboardsdotcom

  • i hope there is a way 2 c chaos's death!

  • So..it's been almost two decades. Is their part of the pattern mended yet?!

  • the weaver boy splited europe from the world chaos rules

  • according to wikipedia, there is a special sequence at the ending when beaten in expert mode?

  • Back in the day I played Loom for the first time (more than 15 years ago) I read that, if you manage to play through the game in Expert mode, in the end there would be a bonus cut scene that could not be seen in Beginner's or Advanced mode. After watching this video I figure this is not true. Can anyone confirm this?

  • @TheAntiChrysler The extra scene is Cob's death. It doesn't appear in the easier modes.

  • Why didn't they ever make a sequel? Did it not sell as well as they hoped?

  • @DeltaComp its not that the game didnt sell well, just that the creators didnt feel compelled to carry on with the project.

  • @DeltaComp exactly, loom was a major disappointment.

  • Wow...that brought back so many memories!!! Thank you so much for uploading! Awesome game~

  • What song is that when Chaos appears at the beginning?

  • really wish they had made the sequels and wrapped up the story.. seems the weavers really did abandon the world to chaos after all :P

  • Did she say inferior beings at 2:01 to 2:02?

I thought tales of symphonia was to first game to you the word inferior being.

  • Yes, she did... and no it wasn't.

    Not by a long shot.

  • woah i love that time i played all that... allways wanted create that "loom-movie" myself, but never time to do it, thank you for that. btw, how did you record it? (i mean how you managed to convert the amiga-output (RGB if i remember) to the PC? special video-card??

anyways, nice work and thanks again, made me nearly cry again at the end ;-)

  • Just recorded my desktop as I played the game; it's a software program.

  • Aww man.. Memories Sweet Sweet Memories!

    Thanks for the upload.

Going to buy from Steam, now LoL.

  • Glad you enjoyed it, and enjoy your copy you buy from Steam. :)

  • i loved this game, reminds me of my childhood, i remember finishing this game. i always wanted to see the end again, i remember crying when i finished it haha coz i liked the music. it just gave me shivers hearing it again.

  • great job!!! i like Loom, when I be a children, I play this

    THANKS!!

  • You're welcome!

  • I have used a loom before, does that mean I can become a swan and fly through space ripping holes in junk?

  • Wow! There is a shocking typo at 3:50. (should instead read "once TOO often") Im surprised this slipped through. I believe I've seen this sort of thing a few times in other LucasArts games, but never in Sierra titles. It seems that the classic Sierra adventure games were generally more technologically ambitious, complex and dialogue-heavy than LucasArts titles; despite this, Sierra never allowed such sloppy errors, even if some of their later adventures had some bugs due to premature releases.

  • when i think of animals that are pure, i think of swans, but i also think of dolphins. i think this game could have been played entirely with dolphins.

  • And turn it into another Ecco the Dolphin? I think I prefer the swans.

  • WHAT IS THE SECRET OF THE LOOM

  • SWANS CONTROL THE UNIVERSE.

  • dang, you know, someone ought to complete the trilogy, a series of fan-made games. How would it work? Would anyone even wanna try to attempt it?

  • schade, dass es keine Fortsetzung gibt.

It's a pity, that there is no continuation.

  • Very great game indeed. I loved this game as a story as a child and I still do, too bad they never finished the trilogy.

Hmm... If I do recall right, right before the ending with expert difficulty you could make Bobbin to show his face.

Dunno if it is true, just remember to read it from somewhere.

  • Hey I remember at the end they flew near the shepherds and everyone Bobbin had met during the game, creating a sort-of nostalgic/sad ending scene (alright I admit it made me sad), was that scene cut from the talkie version?

I miss old Lucasfilm adventure games. SCUMM forever!

  • Yes, it was cut. I'm not sure why.

  • what is the name of the end song please?

  • The music is all Chomsky's(I think/sp) Swan Lake, redone by The Fat Man.

    Nice quote: "Preference Noted"

  • If I'm not mistaken, all of the music is taken from Tchaikovsky's score for the ballet "Swan Lake". Just look for any Tchaikovsky Swan Lake CDs and you'll most likely find what you're looking for.

I know the beginning song is the finale to Act IV of the ballet, but as for LOOM's main theme at the ending, I haven't figured out.

  • Ducks are to be eaten, not heard...

Is that referring to 'Oh Bondage up yours!' by the X Ray Spex? :P

  • That's IT? That's what they ended thhe series on? No closure whatsoever?

  • The game was originally meant as a trilogy, one game focusing on the Forge, and the other on Fleece's group, but as you can see, never happened. ^^;

  • Total bummer, man.

  • I actually have the CD version myself, I miss playing this game once in a while.

  • i cant get the cd to work on my pc :(

  • That's a shame. :/ I actually only managed to get my game to work correctly using an emulator. (Still using my CDs, but using an emulator to have the proper PC settings.)

  • Holy shit! It's Maleficent.

  • Taking over this world was actually what Maleficent did before Disney and Square-Enix asked her to a the villain in Kingdom Hearts. :)

  • man! i wish i could find my floppy discs for this game. i hope there still in a box somewhere, i havent really looked yet.

  • gooooood

  • It's too bad that they never came up with the two sequels to this game. When Bobbin destroyed the Loom, a bunch of plot threads got opened up. :<

  • Yup. :/
