the salaf are the sahaabah, the tabe'een and the atbaa'utaabi'een.

The speaker says: A sheikh had a dream that he would have a son that is a seeker of knowledge. He had a son and named him 'Salih' (pious) so that maybe the dream would come true, his son loved the people and was loved by them, he read Quran by day and prayed by night, but he was not a seeker of knowledge. This son then married and had a son and named him Muhammad, and he was the realisation of the dream of his grandfather.
