Moti! I love this! I discovered hummus a few years ago, and began to fall in love with it. For some reason, I have never attempted to make it myself. What a joy to view YOUR video first! I shall not even look for an other recipe, this looks dilicious. I especially enjoy the presentation, as well as the music!
I can really feel the love you have for food & life thanks for making the video, I will be making hummus using your recipe tomorrow...please make some more videos...also Luv the music!
I wish I could eat at your house. I love my kitchen too and LOVE to cook. I can see how much love you put into your food, which is the main ingredient in any dish. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
okay this looks like a guy i can trust wrt hummus. just came from a vid where a guy tried to suggest that i make hummus without tahini, using canned chick peas and salt. still pretty furious.
I enjoyed watching this video so very much! Such a sweet man in the video! How could you not love it! Great recipe and the first I have seen with the pepper! I will try that as I have chick peas soaking right now! Thanks! (^_^)
Thank-you! I'm going to make some very soon. Clear instructions, lovely story about Mother's cooking. Sweet gentleman. Wonderful accent! Wish I could taste your cooking!
ok i dont want to seem like an idiot, i LUV this delicious mush! (hehehe)
but iv always wondered (because i am a health freak trying to get skinny) that if hummus is so healthy, then y are th only ppl iv seen eating it ..FAT!?!?!?
if you eat too much of anything, even healthy food, you will get fat. There is a saying that one third of what we eat is for our body, and the other two thirds we eat for our doctors. In other words, we eat too much!
Hahaha! No worries. Congratulations on getting over the anorexia! Stick to natural foods, and you'll be fine. Not too many oils/fats. Mostly fruits, veggies, lean chicken, fish, nuts, olive oil, and whole grains. You'll be fine. You can pretty much eat fruits and veggies all day and not gain weight, especially if you stay active. You'll be fine!
No worries. You seem like a great person, and I know that you will do right by your body. You are worth it. Just love yourself and everything will be fine.
ur right im too fat! (though i doubt any thin person would make that comment)
way ahead of you though! im trying to stop eating and exercise 2 hours a day again, i think its working, i can see bones, but that doesnt mean anything! i need to lose more! i still cant understand why all my friends keep begging me to eat tho.. and the parents give me weird looks :S
It means that we eat 3 times more food than we actually need. Thus, one-third of what we eat is all that our bodies require. The other two-thirds are what make us so unhealthy. Thus, the other two-thirds of what we eat are for our doctors. Those two-thirds make us unhealthy, so we pay doctors to "heal" us.
Thank you. I love your video, especially when you talk about your that you love your kitchen. Your wife and daughter join in. So nice to see family enjoying each others company. Thanks!
I made humus the first time today. I have been going to the store everyday to buy it because it taste so good. Then I thought I could make it myself. There is no exact way to make it. Experiment! Be creative and enjoy it. Add some water if you want. Taste so good and I have read that it is healthy. I stay away from using any oil and salt for now for better health and it still taste good. I use the sesame seeds instead of tahini, Yum.
Hey Moti. I just got done making hummus using your recipe. This was my first time making and I have to thank you. It is pretty good. I'm going to keep at it and make it better. Thanks!
hello mo afandy your fais is iraqi pleas speak in iraqi and make dolmah and kabab and masqoof if you can and if you not your iraqi smile is eanaf sory for my writing iam not god with english your brother from baghdad
I'm surprisingly not picky about tahini. My requirement is that it be 100% ground hulled sesame. There shouldn't be any other ingredient in the jar! And yes, tahini by itself may be sharp. This is why we mix it with salt and lemon juice.
its Iraqi food..when a lot of Iraqi jews immigrated to Israel they introduced a lot of their foods, amba and sabich are well known Iraqi foods in Israel
Is there anyway you can include the exact measurements on the recipe page on your site? The volume is too low on the video and I can hardly understand what is being said. Thanks.
Thank you for the recipe motiz. It looks very good. I hope other foods to snack on like baba ganouj, tabooli, tzatziki & stuffed grape leaves continue to get more popular here in the states like hummus has in the past 10 years.
As soon as I make this Im getting laid by some college chick that loves humus! Thank you my friend :D
