@Trevordevon You obviously never had to ever call the police after your car or house was broken into! When that happens you will see what a waste of your time it will be. They will come out but will ask you to follow up with a report and tell you to call your insurance company. They will do as little as they have to because they hate busy work! My experience on more than one occasion where someone broke into my car. You are living in a dream world if you think that they are around toprotect
@ shaneboulds, you must not really be familiar with SPD. They are a bunch of corrupt ass pigs. Whats funny is Im glad the gentleman got off but I will also say that had this been a car full of black people, more specifically, black men, they would have all been out of the car, in handcuffs and on their way to jail. The police are the ones who need to be policed in Seattle.
Best traffic stop I've seen. This officer maintained respect and authority, kept the situation under control and never violated any constitutional rights of the subject. Excellent. A+
actually by asking him those questions are clear violations.
as far as authority cops have none, they are nothing more than underpaid men and women that do a dangerous job. using our tax dollars. that's the business part.
not everybody in this world is violent criminal. citizens appropriately become uncomfortable when armed men and shining lights are to their back.
and it takes temperament to understand this. i say A+ to the citizen for maintaining his own sovereign authority.
@sckryde Are you an idiot? Cops have plenty of authority. How do you think the world would be without them? If your house was being robbed, would you not want a cop there? Its true that the subject was not obligated to answer every question, but that doesn't mean the officer didn't have the right to ask. He can ask whatever he wants. Get real dude! Stop hating on the police! Be thankful for what they do! They go through a lot more crap than you probably have.
If my house was being robbed i would rely on my weapons training, and my dog to preserve my life and property. i don't see how calling a cop after the fact would help me. maybe i would call a cop after i downed the intruder.
i see logic makes you mad. kind of like the cop in the video.
the world is filled with people like you.
that's why the founding fathers created our constitution so that we would have guide lines when facing control freak criminals that like to invade the privacy of citizens.
but from your first comment its obvious you identify with this type of behavior, and grovel to brutality. your actually more dangerous at least corrupt cops can be identified.
it appears his offense is not being white because i can't find anything else wrong with him and if they had probably cause to think he was drunk they could have brought him in for a breath/blood test.
@user7897 i think that statement in itself is uneducated. police officers are not pigs. They are an asset to our city. I would rather be pulled over for "lane straddling" because an officer thought i was drunk than have them shrug it off as if it were nothing at all. One of my dear friends was killed by a drunk driver and it could have been avoided if a police officer were to have pulled them over. If he would have less evasive with the cop, he wouldnt have gotten a ticket.
What the hell are these cops doing, first off he questions him like crazy. Then after that those two cops have a nice little cop chat then cite him for something that seems doesn't even exist? LMAO. Bullshitty cops.
this is harassment, and the cop was not doing his job, it was clear enough he wanted to intimidate/provoke the driver of the vehicle, just look at the reason why he pulled him over, BS
@sirswagerton i really like how people in seattle call the police pigs. He did a stop because he thought the guy may have been drinking and he wanted to make sure he wasnt. I wish somebody would have stopped the driver that killed my friend in a DUI accident. Its amazing to me that people have no respect for cops and they think that they are out to get us when in reality, when you are down on 2nd ave at midnight and somebody try's to kill you, the cops are the ones that protect us.
when you are down on 2nd ave at midnight and somebody tries to kill you, do you pull a cop out of your pocket to protect you or do you call them after the fact so they can come down and take a report and question why you were on 2nd ave at midnight?

why is the officer asking the driver if he is a lawyer, or what he does for a living? what does that have to do with his duties? nothing.

and how do you get this video if it was record it by cops??? =/ ?

@socomonline1 It's public record. You always can ask for the video of a police dash cam.

Why do people that get pulled over have to be so difficult. I've watched many videos and the cops are usually patient with the idiots they pull over.
