In 1970 I lived in an old House in Melbourne beach on theeast coast of Fla. Huge like old 7 bedroom place with some other dropout leftouts and surfers like myself.Used to have to wait until most were out of the house to play the four B.C. disks that were out then really really loud.
I SERIOUSLY doubt there were any fans clamoring to hear BC play this song live in the last 20 years before Petersen's death! First of all, Dickie might have laughed at you for even requesting it, or he may have had a case of "forced amnesia" about that whole 1970-71 period and stared at you questioningly like, "What"?
Blue Cheer was a band before their time. They were always on the cutting edge of what would come to be known as Heavy Metal. Dickie died from prostate cancer a few years ago.
Gary Lee Yoder is the singer of this song actually. And co-writer. But Dickie gets down with his bass big time.

So which was the American LP cover? The sepia toned pic of the band or the painting of Dickie standing on top of the foot?!

Certainly a quintessential existential rock balad! Get the fuck *down*, Dickie! "Put on my travelin' shoes..."

I've been getting into Blue Cheer's more 'obscure' LPs like Oh Pleasant Hope and Blue Cheer. Damn they put out some good stuff!

What a great song! Through all the lineup changes, Blue Cheer was always a great band. RIP Dickie.
