no actually its because Mike(Vocalist) had MANY!!! singing problems before , go see their recent live Performances and see the difference after he took singing lessons
i saw these guys at summerfest last week theyre absolutely awesome live this video sounds like shit... but u guys should check em out... they did a lot of awesome shit like play some metallica and killing in the name of solos while the singer took a break it was sweet
my opinion, the bassist himself isn't totally to blame, the sound guy should have turned his vocals down, that could potentially work as a BACKING vocal but his mic was up too loud and as a result he drowned out the lead vocals, that and the other problem is the band recorded the album with things that they apparently couldn't redo in a live setting (the orchestral work, piano effects, they never had a specific man for that job) but oh well, my two cents, they did GREAT for what they had, kudos
I've heard their live show is absolutely mind-blowing actually. It seems here that they are playing the song in a different key, which is why it sounds unfortunately crappy. Its too bad because the album version is my favorite song on the album. Bands do this a lot live (playing a song in a different key, which throws the song). Also, it sounds like the keys are out of tune.
The bassist is singing backup and in the weird key, and the lead singer is singing in the original key.
I was at this show and it rained nonstop. They almost did not finish the set because poweramps were shorting or something. The lead vocal mic was on and off the whole set so I bet they were messing with all kinds of stuff. I also have video of this performance and my camera made it sound bad too. It is much different when you are there. Trust me!!! These guys sound amazing live.
They are really great... and I love the whole albumm... in this video he seems to have problems with his voice, but in the show I saw he sings sooooooooooo awesomely!
This isnt their best live performance but its not that terrable its just the backup vocals dude isnt harmonizong very much. But i still give it 4 stars. The music and lead singer is great.
Hey i think that the first part about the temption in the box is very God would wont us to find a to fix our tempton so we so we can put our eyes on him so i like this song to
Yeah, I was at the Cleveland show with Candlebox (in place of puddle of mudd, don't know why but whatever), Breaking Benjamin, and Three Days Grace and I was one of the only people jumping up and down. they were defidently the CRAZIEST band at the show. THERE WASN'T A MOSH PIT THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SHOW!!! A couple of guys started to fight in Breaking Benjamin's song "Breath" but other than that NOTHING!!! COME ON!!!! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!
I seen Red live in cleveland, although i never heard of them before, many in the amphitheater hadnt, but they rocked it our a lot better than many warm up bands would have, just fortunate candlebox replaced puddle of mudd rather than some crappy band
This video doesn't do them justice...saw them with Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace and Puddle of Mudd. All four bands sounded great live...all the singers hit the notes perfectly
Ya I agree with Snowm2 only the lead singer should be singing because you can hear the background vocalist's mic like the lead singer and teh lead sing as background same with the other stuff but red still rocks
I think only the lead singer should be singing. I did go to their concert in Dallas, Texas in 2006. I could not hear the lead singer very well because they had the other guy's vocal turned up. Red also had tracks for some of their songs which was ok.

I just think their vocals need a little work and they should use tracks so it sounds more like the cd. I'm not bashing them though, I love them.. =)
