How much more power does it feel like the cold air intake gives you?

just got my eclipse 2001 gs, idk if its worth getting an intake though some advice? and also an exhaust cause its automatic, got it very cheap and very low mileage so had to take it

Respond to this video... no its woorth it dude. the evo n the 1g n 2gen eclipse gst n gsx have the same motor n it 4g63turbo u could get a 1gen or 2gen eclipse gst or gsx awd n good condition for about 3grand way cheaper then what u would pay for an avo, and u can get the infamous 4g63t up to 400 to 500hp wit less than 5000grand if u doin everything urself n not payin a shop to do it, i have a 94 talon tsi wit 387hp

@ooikwf lol its not a dodge motor.... hehehe since when do domestic mfr make worthy engines for foreign use? This Mitsubishi motor was lent to crapsler back in the 80s for use in all kinds of cars and in their vans. Of course the one in the eclispe was a little more updated and has around 200 hp from the 136 it had in those vans.

@chad8329 dodge teamed up with Mitsubishi using Mitsubishi motor. Dodge is coping however they cams, weight etc.. is not as good as the eclipse that's why dodge ver 0-60 is close to 8 sec while eclipse gt is 7 sec. Plus there more info and videos on this topic search it up before you speak.

I have an 01 eclipse gs and on the stock air intake theres a box with wires connected to it and in pictures with cold air intakes this box is set on top of the intake, i dont no if i need it for a cold air intake and if i need to buy a specific intake

i just got mine installed it sounds mean and its also much stronger also installed the strut bars for better handling since they come on evo stock but it wont pass the smog with intake will it ?

You should not have issues with smog besides dont forget to put that sticker in case ur pulled over!

while installing cold air intake did you have to take the bumper off and remove some stuff?

no, even while taking out headlights you dont have to take out bumper.

you will have to get below the car to get the filter in.

well I dont know if it gives more I prefer K&N ove AEm.

but u really feel the performance go up. My stock used to struggle for more air It even snapped during its last days.

im thinking about getting one 02 gt 5 speed v6 i want to twin turbo it ive seen it done before but it requires lots of custom fabing the turbos r 16g turbos created around 385 hp tuned and then with water methanol injection over 400hp on 15 to 18 psi depending on the internal wastegates with manuel boost controller it was a pretty good outcome

well around 2,000 in parts i do my own fabing so it aint that bad we already did it to my buddys car it came out real well were pushing around 375hp it runs very well especially in 3rd gear it pulls real hard were very happy with the results

well it does have alot of spin in 1st but we sent the tranny to jnz tuning and they made our into full out lsd lock up both wheel lock up we have a whole lot better traction

i got a k/n intake on mines supposly the best. the tube is plastic and it goes all the way down to the bumper it sounds hot. and when i turn it off it sounds like its breathing 5.7xtra hp

@Still0ne I would not say gains but its the feeling and the sudden air intake which makes a nice sound and does help you rev high.
