yeah I think he qualified on pole for Long Beach F1 gp 1982, nearly won Monaco 1982 but ran out of fuel and had some great drives for Jordan in 1991. However he was terrible in the mid 80's when he drove for teams like Ligier!!
Wonderful tribute to a colourful character who made F1 the spectacle it was during the 80s and 90's. It was great to see him finally get the credit he deservered towards the end of his career. He certainly lived up many a dull race! Forza Andrea!
His only decent race was in Belgium 1983, I never seen him racing like that any more, just the one and the only race in which he did a good job, but the rest of his career...... was a sucking career......
You forgot the Belgium race of 1991, when he held 2nd place for a couple of laps, not his talent got him there, but because he was driving the best chassis of 91, Anderson's creation of that year was a good one indeed, but DeCesaris...........
Yep, I remember that race since it was Schummi's debut in F1 because of Gachot legal problems (he was "doing time" with a ball and chain for some weeks, didn't he??? Another asshole: Gachot, LOL). Schummi abandoned it after the start due to gearbox problems I guess...... And you're right, in that race he was in a respectable position for a while, but anyway nothing happened eventually (as it was expected to happen being De Cesaris the one who was driving that green Jordan, LOL. He sucked!!!
In that race, Schumacher indeed replaced a somewhat jailed Gachot, another less than average driver. Schumacher, being his first f-1 race, overdid things at the start and cooked the clutch on the jordan.

Andrea de Cesaris tribute????What the hell for? The only record he holds is 18 destroyed chassis in 1981!!!!He was in F-1 because Marlboro forked up the cash.
He was one of the most sucking drivers I've ever seen, lol....... He was so conceited and stone faced that even dared to fight in the hard way way, being usually dirty and always blaming his opponents for being guilty of his crashes, spun off and problems...... Go to the hell with him...... An asshole from ALL point of view!!!
Absolutely Luciano buddy, he had this nagging twitching habbit with his face, was probably the reason for his tangle with Piquet at Monaco at Loews hairpin in 89!!!!RLMFAOF....
LMAO, I remember that race as if had been yesterday: he tried to go for the inside braking late, Nelson and De Cesaris met in the middle of the corner, stopped round the corner, and there was a traffic jam!!!. LOL. Nelson and this sucker complaining and arguing as if the had a crash in street: "it's you fault mother fuc.....", No! You piece of shi....", LOL. One of the spectators was Alain I remember!!!. My God, what an idiot that De Cesaris.... completely useless driver, terrible!!!
siempre con el pie en la tabla, así deberíamos de recordar a de cesaris. podría haber sido grande si le hubieran dado el volante de mclaren al final de su carrera y no al principio
LOL CE3AP!!!!!!! Andrea de Cesaris and Ayrton??? That's like Britney Spears and Pink Floyd, more or less...... Absolutely nothing to do, and De Cesaris was just a lucky man who drove just because of his contacts. He sucked!!!
Someone who drove 208 GP can't be poor.

De Cesaris was good enough to race 208 races in F1 and never win a single race.
But at the end of his carreer he was still in demand by midfield teams.

Calling yourself Ayrton S. is somewhat pretentious isn't it? Claiming a copyright on material that isn't yours is somewhat pretentious isn't it?

208 races and not a single win. We love you Andrea de Cesaris.
He was a good driver but sadly he never won a race even if he led a couple of them.
Will anybody ever beat his record of starts without wins? Nick Heidfeld has 135 starts so far and no wins.

Lol, you are so right. I remember De Cesaris half out of his Dallara arms waving in typical italian fashion, while Piquet calmly sat in his Lotus!!!!
