  • fuck the neighbours

  • I heard Adams Apple

  • Hooked up to a 2x12 is it loud enough to play over a heavy handed drummer in a small. size venue?

  • Is that a Marshall Cab or just an Avatar cab with a mashall logo on it?

  • @bravenXD It's an Avatar cab with a Marshall logo. Sorry Avatar.

  • @MrQuinceymagoo that's false advertising, henceforth unconstitutional. shame.

  • @MrQuinceymagoo Surely it's a Varshal?!?

  • @MrQuinceymagoo WHY???

  • The power of a dual terror is 30 watts or 15 watts?

  • @Casteanguitar Sorry for the late response. The Dual Terror can be 30 watts, 15 watts or 7 watts. Very useful for bedroom settings or not upsetting the neighbors.

  • Wow , when u played the first Aerosmith lick i was like ... dammm it sounds just like the record.

  • @ISOWHAT2 Thank you! I love the old Aerosmith stuff. The Orange Dual Terror is a GREAT amp! It's lightweight, has plenty of power, two channels and above all... sounds really, really good. I sound like I work for Orange, but I don't.

  • Well, I'm sure someone else could give you much more detailed info on this but I'll do my best. The Dual Terror is 30 watts and can be switched from 7 to 15 to 30 watts which is pretty cool. You can switch to a single tube per channel which makes it so that you can turn up the master volume (not the gain) and get the power tube cooking which gives that wonderful singing sustain that many people really like.

  • What are the differences between the Dual Terror and the JMP? I know it might be a lot. I'm asking just for curiosity. Thanks.

  • @rodrigodarosa Also the Orange has two channels which is great because you can set one up for lead boosts. The Orange uses EL84 power tubes.

The Marshall JMP is a single channel master volume 100 watt amp which has 6550 power tubes or, if converted over, EL34. The Marshall has a very responsive, thumping low end to it which I really like. It doesn't have a lot of gain, say like a Mesa, but it's great for classic rock. I love that amp and if I had to use only one amp that would be the one.

  • @MrQuinceymagoo thank you very much! My question was really about the tone. I love the marshall grind, specially if it is a plexi! I have a Laney LC50, that is not a JMP, but man it can really rock with my Les Paul.

But now I'm really looking for an Orange sound , the warm siging sustain, and also the shimmering sound of El84's . My only question is if can you clean the Dual terror with the volume knob of your guitar on a lead gain type distortion sound? Because I do that with the Laney. Thx

  • @rodrigodarosa The Orange gets a really nice tone that when driven is not unlike a Marshall (but distinctly it's own sound). Rolling back on the volume cleans the amp up nicely which is what I do with it. I actually run the JMP into one side of my stereo 4x12 cab and then the Orange into the other side. I then use the second channel of the Orange as a solo boost by turning up the master louder than the first channel master. It works great!!

  • @MrQuinceymagoo the dual terror doesnt come with a foot switch , right? and it switches between the fat and the TT channel?

  • @FletcherHabit No, it doesn't come with the foot switch unfortunately but they're not very expensive. $30 or so. It plugs in the back via a 1/4" cable and switches between the 2 channels.
