im going on 17 years old and ending my junior year of high school and i have learned more from listening to bill hicks. george carlin, doug stanhope, etc. than i ever have in school.
Late Show with David Letterman on January 30th 2009, they had Bill's mother, Mary Hicks on the show, and they played the segment that was cut from the show October 1st 1993.
All I can say is "Finally". Finally some respect for the late, great Bill Hicks. Dave was very apologetic toward Mary Hicks, and she was great and lovely, and handled Dave's questions very well, being much stronger and more direct than Dave expected.
The clips are in my favorites in case anyone is interested.
I'm very happy to hear that. Bill already knew he was dying when he did this last show. It was his last-ditch effort to get his message heard. And what a profound message it is. It's a shame that such a brilliant man has gone so unnoticed. Bill should be taught out of text books in schools around the word. Listening to this one show would do more for kids than 12 years of school ever could.
ur right.. standards n practices = much smarter censorship than just worrying about offending people.. its about controlling ideas. n dont hate to mention conspiracy thats part of the deal u associate conspiracy with "incorrect" or "crazy", when many "theories" are entirely plausible.
Only 4201 views... Does that meen armageddon is coming soon?

I find it strange that "they" (letterman people) cut everything at the last minute, when they knew what it was.
I hate to mention "conspiracy", but it seems someone was trying to shut him up. What a coincidence, he died young. Shut up permanently.
`peace over and out
(just thinking in public...lol)

@binloved
It's pretty bad, but I don't think there is any big conspiracy behind it.

@binloved not to burst your bubble or anything but he had been on the letterman show around 8 times before that according to his documentary.
